Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through late June. Daily closures can also occur during periods of inclement weather in spring and fall. The Eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park is located 45 minutes from Mammoth Lakes. Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. This is great place to stay in Mammoth. The location is perfect! You can't beat it. Literally a 2 minute walk to the main lodge and ski lifts. The rooms have an older style but they're clean and comfortable. I noticed the rooms can get a little warm, but just use the AC or crack the window open a little. Convenient parking. Staff were friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Mammoth.

This is a 3 star hotel with 5 star rates. It is the only lodging with easy access to the Broadway Express lift, which is the only area that is open at the beginning of the season. They essentially have a monopoly, so they have no incentive to upgrade the place. Rooms are rudimentary with an antiquated heating system and no charm. Your only option for food is their on-site restaurant which is adequate but nothing special.

Stunning resort
We had a long drive from Las Vegas, early November, the locations and overall feel of the resort and its beauty is breath taking. The heater in the room was a little noisy and there weren’t extra blankets in the room. But as a Ski destination, its a must. The food in the restaurant was amazing.
