If its location you are looking for, then this1 bedroom + open loft, 2 bathroom condo is perfect for your Mammoth vacation! Just steps from the Sierra Star golf course, and about a mile from both the lifts at Eagle Lodge and The Village. Relax by the wood-burning fireplace or barbeque on the deck while enjoying the fresh mountain air in this beautiful Forest setting. This condo has everything you need to feel right at home including a fully renovated stocked kitchen, living room with flatscreen TV and DVD player, sleeper sofa, and free WiFi. The master bedroom has a Queen size bed, flatscreen TV and access to the hallway bathroom. The open loft upstairs features another Queen bed with en-suite full bathroom. There is even access to a private washer and dryer in the loft, and shared garage parking for one vehicle (garage clearance is 7' 3"). The Bigwood community offers an outdoor pool, hot tub, and on-site laundry facilities. The town trolley is not too far away, or enjoy the convenience of a quick walk to the closest lifts at Eagle. The community of Bigwood is nestled on the Sierra Star Golf Course in amongst the trees, in a quiet residential neighborhood so is the perfect hideaway from it all. This condo is on the second floor, sleeps a maximum of 6 people, and no smoking or pets are permitted. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, pilates and cycle studio and more. I needed help ever since we got there but it was impossible to speak to the manager or host. Fortunately we found the key under the mat, otherwise we’d have had to book a hotel, since we weren’t able to make contact w the property manager or host whatsoever.

Property worked for what we needed. Its a little older and "worn" but served its purpose for what we were looking for. Was very clean and had the basics that were needed for the stay. Very convenient to the slopes.

Got the job done.
The location was perfect to Eagle Lodge. The beds were slightly dirty especially the pull out couch. There was trash in the upstairs balcony bedroom. No fire wood. The bathrooms, both sink and showers leak so the floors where sopping wet. Not sure I would stay here again.

Not what we hoped it would be
The location was wonderful. We were visiting with another couple and the location was great as it was a 3 minute drive to lifts/lodge. Our issue was that first of all the decomposing mouse on a sticky trap that we found under the downstairs bed. We do understand that this can be an issue in a forested area. That was not the issue but, it should have been checked and disposed of BEFORE we checked in. It was NOT freshly trapped. its claim was a “remodeled” unit. A more accurate description would be, updated kitchen. All other parts of the unit were a bit outdated. The other issue we had was that this is Not a 2 bedroom. This is a 1 private bedroom downstairs and a loft upstairs without a door. Not private for the other couple upstairs as there is NO door and all conversations between upstairs and downstairs were easily overheard. Along with a very creaky upstairs floor that would wake us up in the downstairs room every time someone would get up to use the restroom or even turn over in bed. The upstairs shower needs to be redone as it leaks heavily onto floor and floods the area. When I tried to address all my concerns, management refunded my cleaning fee and brushed off all other concerns, not even returning my requests for management to discuss.

Great Stay in Mammoth
4 of us stayed at the condo for three nights. It is in a great location, a 10 minute walk from Mammoth Brewing and other restaurants. The condo was very clean, comfortable and the owners supply everything needed to cook in the kitchen as well as a nice supply of toiletries. We will definitely look to stay here again.

Overall the place is a good spot. Very close to everything you need for ski trip. The kitchen has been updated and looks great. The beds and baths are older but still work fine. Check in was a little confusing due to having to make reservations through VRBO and then having to sign a contract with the property management company. The only other issue I had was when we arrived there was a weed pen on the fireplace and was missed on the cleaning.

nice location, indoor practical without frills
checkin / checkout was very convenient. the location of the unit is close to a bus stop and in a nice area. the unit itself is clean but without frills, we call it practical. We are happy with our stay but would suggest that the property manager fixes some of the minor issues we noticed. Pros: - great location - unit is very quiet - good for 3 peoples - nice wood fire stove, easy to start, control and clean - all appliances worked perfectly - good wifi and TV (netflix, amazon, HBO) Cons (minor) - some electrical outlets have unsecured face plate, this could be a problem with smaller children - the curtain for the upstairs showers should be replaced with some "hermetic" inclosure - we had a problem with one of the kitchen cabinet - need more towels (even so we had a dryer, we ran out) - garage is really tight for a larger SUV

Except for the kitchen, it needs updating
The kitchen was the highlight. Looks like it was recently upgraded. Could use more outlets though. When we arrived the unit was cold and took a long while to heat up. I think one thermostat didn’t work. Bathrooms need the most attention. The shower downstairs was hard to get the right temp. Also, there seemed to be a leak from this bathroom that was causing a problem in the garage below. We received a surprise knock on the door but the guy didn’t have any credentials so we didn’t let him in. Management called and advised another person would be over to inspect. That person arrived and found the problem was a pipe below the unit (not in the unit). Overall, the location was convenient, but not really walking distance to the Village, especially if weather is an issue. Would I stay there again? Maybe, but only when there aren’t any other viable options.

Great stay!
Amazing location and overall wonderful spot! We had a wedding in mammoth for the weekend and we could walk to all the events easily which was nice since Uber and Lyft weren’t around. The property management company was super helpful and flexible. No complaints would gladly come back and stay again!!

Unpleasant!
Rodents chewed into our sealed cookie and bread packages on the counter, as well as protein on the table, leaving crumbs on the table and chair! The closets has some random bedding that seemed to have been tossed in there. No a/c, wifi does not work (bad signal), unstable chair, garage does not have a lock and 1/3 os it was occupied with construction materials, very dark in there. The waste bin was not in an enclosed area, and the adjacent waste cans either did not have a lid and/or the lid was not secured. This probably attracts rodents. The parking lot throughout the complex was extremely dark, minimal lighting.

overall a great condo. I would stay here again. few things: - broken toaster needs to be replaced. - lower kitchen cabinets needs to be screwed into the wall. - need a dish scrubber and paper towels. - we wish the shuttle stop was closer. it's a bit too far for our skiers to walk.

Love this condo. I wish I owned it
Well stocked and nice sized open kitchen area. Large variety of seasonings, dishes/kitchen utensils/towels. There’s lots of hooks for jackets and a bin for wet shoes and nice log fireplace along with central heating. There’s even an outdoor ski locker that you can put your wet equipment into. Comfortable bedrooms with good heating and shower. Quiet neighborhood. Jacuzzi was a very short walk from our condo. The only thing that could be better was: 1) The one car garage was extremely narrow. You have to be a very good parker to fit an SUV or a minivan into there. I think that’s why all the guest spots were full and cars were parked across the street. 2) There is a loft balcony off of the Master bedroom with a mattress on that balcony. But the balcony’s wooden floor boards felt kind of loose. So, since there was only 3 of us, we stayed off of there

Perfect getaway!
We always use Airbnb or VRBO when we come to mammoth. This place was listed for a decent price with the location being so close to the village and canyon lodge. The listing matched exactly what we walking into. A nice home away from home while we were out having fun in the snow. Thanks again!
