Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through late June. This property should be renamed OUTLOUD rather than Outbound. The walls are so thin that you can actually have a conversation with your neighbours through the wall. Our neighbours had a party until 4:30 am. 40 people screaming, music blasting. The rate was outrageously high for the quality of the room and facilities.

We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be staying here next time we come back to Mammoth! The room was very clean and felt cozy like a home. The heater worked very well, kept us warm. I really liked how the room was decorated. The check in process was very easy and fast. The indoor fire pit was very warm and inviting. There were 2 fire pits outside as well. The parking lot was convenient since it was right outside of the building. Checking out of the room was also very simple and fast. We loved everything about our stay!

Outbound is conveniently located in town, but the inside of what was the old Sierra Nevada hotel is definitely dated (carpet, paint, etc). The rear parking lot is in desperate need of refinishing. The rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The lobby is also very cozy to hang out in. I would stay there again depending on the price.

The dry & wet saunas were amazing after a day on the slopes. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Common areas were spacious, inviting, a beautifully decorated. We have already decided to stay here again when we come back to Mammoth!

We had an OK time at Outbound Mammoth

Rooms were tiny, pictures online showed much more updated rooms where in reality, our room was old. There was no room to hang ski gear, and space was overall too tight. The restaurant on the property could have had better variety, the menu was poor and lacking, and the lobby was nice with fire/ambiance, live music, and board games for the kids and adults to play. The hot tub and pool were the main attraction for this property. The "Game Room" was a side room inside the hotel's restaurant, and most games were not working/broken. The game room should be updated and all games should work...
