Broken lifts and not comfy bedd
Everything was good apart from one lift not working so we had to wait a long time to get the lift or tske the stairs. Also the beds and pillows were very soft and not comfortable. All 3 of us had difficulty getting comfortable and so had terrible nights sleep

Painful check in and out
Check in and check out was painful, I was charged separately for the room, deposit, city tax, parking etc, they processed about six separate payments when they could have taken one, the whole process took way longer than it needed to. I asked for toothpaste in the middle of the night and they said they were busy and needed me to go down to reception for it, when only moments ago they had no problem taking an order to my room…

First of all advertised roof terrace /bar is now no longer available for hotel guests. Second, lifts were out of order and being on the 6th floor this caused my husband some difficulties as he doesn’t walk very well following a recent injury.. Third, there were guests in the hotel wearing clothes with politically offensive slogans. Not much the hotel can do about what the guests wear but it doesn’t create a nice vibe with people like that around. Hotel was also smelly and poorly ventilated. The shower gels / toiletries are also terrible - horrible smell which drifts through the hotel. Plus points: bed was nice and breakfast was good so I guess the bits that matter were ok but it wasn’t a nice stay.

Poor handling of issues during our stay.
Unremarkable in the main. However two major niggles. On arrival we checked into our 10th floor room. Queue for lift about 20 deep as only 1 lift in 3 actually working. Lift was slow as it was, so majorly inconvenient as we had a short turnaround before we were meeting friends for dinner. Additionally when we checked into our room, there was clearly an issue with the toilet as the water was constantly running and therefore unable to flush. We were both desperate to get into the bathroom, but couldn’t as unusable. Maintenance were fairly quick to fix which is just as well as we were informed no other room available to move to as hotel full. We missed an Uber due to time is took to get back downstairs due to lift issue. Deeply disappointing as it was a busy Saturday night as it was, and hotel were aware of the lift issues and chose to ignore.

During the two days of my stay, none out of the three lifts were working. We had an event at the 11th floor in the hotel and sometimes the staff, who was always very friendly, helped us and took us to the service lift but honestly this thing with the elevators was a total pain. Unacceptable for this type of hotel. I understand that one lift can fail, but three our of three demonstrates apathy and lack of reaction to repair something as soon as the problem is detected.

Ok stay but gave us an occupied room. Embarrassing
Overall the experience was good however a coiple if issues. Firstly, the receptionist who served us put us in a room in which someone was already staying, meaning i walked into a room when two females were chaging, which was beyong embarassung for both parties. When we went to the reception the chap was a bit arrogant and I was disappointed by his attitide. Secondly only one lift was working meaning the wait to get a lift was extremely long. Aside from this all else was fine.
