Good hotel, good location

The room was great with the only negative being I found that you needed to run the bathroom tap for ages to get warm water. Other than that the hotel met my needs, was comfortable, has parking facilities, great public transport links, close by to a supermarket for extras. Would 100% recommend and stay again.

Good quality rooms in a unique location (cricket ground) that is also a short commute or taxi journey into the centre of Manchester. Staff were friendly and parking was free, secure and plentiful.

Whilst the Car parking was great & clean rooms, some staff were friendly, some were plain abrupt. Attention to detail that would demonstrate the quality they claim to offer is poor. Things like pillows smelling sour like stale sweat, curtain didnt meet the wall so a gap of light shone through, shower gel pump dispenser broken, breakfast was just ok, tepid, half the things normally offered at a buffet breakfast werent there. If you like a continenetal breakfast it was poor. Staff said croissants were being refilled in 1 minute as someone had gone to fetch them. After asking twice more and waiting 20 minutes we didn't bother waiting any longer. Our room was a twin. Didn't specifiy the view on booking, on check in i asked what was the best view available for the price (as the hotel was not busy) i was told if i wanted a view of the ground it was £40 extra. We declined but what we werent told was our view was of a building site. Overall i expected better, and have had better, for over £100 in mid January. Hilton can be so hit and miss... or as my mother would say... all hat no knickers! This one defintely missed the mark for us sadly.

Struggled to find comfort

The bed didn’t offer much in the line of comfort as it was very hard and neither of us could get comfortable enough to sleep properly and woke feeling stiff and achy. The room temperature was very hard to regulate as well - we were either freezing cold or would wake up sweating buckets. This further impacted on our sleep quality to the point of exhaustion. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very welcoming. Had it been considerably cheaper I’d have said it was fair but 2 nights without a decent sleep let it down massively, especially for the price paid!

Not the usual, but, not good; I will still return.

Really poor stay one this occasion. Tv was not working, found a few hairs on the floor in the bathroom, tea/coffee station did not look like it has been cleaned, unfortunately there was also a horrible, loud humming from the building so sleep was also hard to come by. As per usual the staff were 10/10 and I will return as I am into double figure stays at this specific hotel and this is the only time it has been less than 10/10 overall.

This hotel is very modern, there are building works outside but were not disturbed by them. There is a tram stop just outside the hotel so convenient for getting around.
