A very relaxing stay
We received an upgrade on our room which was a nice surprise. We were met by very helpful and friendly staff and our stay was very comfortable. The place has an old charm and we loved the quirkiness of it. The breakfast was excellent and we will definitely return.

Disappointing Stay at the Mitre Hotel.
My stay at the Mitre Hotel in Manchester was disappointing. Despite paying over £130 for a single-person room, the accommodations were average, with broken amenities and a pervasive smell of an old building. The morning was marred by the incessant ringing of nearby cathedral bells, making sleep difficult. The corridors were also unpleasant, and the stairs uncomfortable. On the upside, the hotel's central location and included breakfast were positives. Overall, while convenient, the experience did not justify the high price.

Horrible experience.
DO NOT STAY HERE. The rooms are not as described. You were required to enter the room THROUGH the toilet (very strange). The door itself to enter this strange toilet/room entrance is maybe just 3 feet so not accessible at all for tall/older people. The images on the hotel website are extremely deceiving, the room is incredibly claustrophobic. Also, there is no lift and a huge number of steep and uneven steps to get into the apartment and even within the apartment, as well as a lack of handrails within the apartment so was very dangerous and inaccessible and should have been mentioned. Also, the few bannsiters that were there were all very unstable, which I thought would fall off if I held on too tightly. Whilst the room was described as luxurious and spacious, I do not believe it was that at all. The room was in fact very claustrophobic. Due to the high risk and claustrophobic environement, we were unable to stay and left (note - we did not receive a refund). I would not recommend this hotel to anyone due to the severe health and safety risks. We regret booking it, and will definitely not be returning.
