We had a fantastic stay here and would say it's the best accommodation we had in the Philippines. Extremely clean, modern, nicely decorated and an outstanding location. And that's not to mention the great staff, who gladly helped us with our many requests! Unbelievable value for money. We'll be staying here again next time.
I was told the property would not cancel unless the guest provided a medical document confirming waiver was warranted. No such document was provided, yet the guest was refused by the hotel, who said the reservation was canceled anyway. To date I have not received any notice of refund pending.
I was a very cute and cozy hotel, had a nice view of the city

My first room was extremely loud as it was directly above a noisy alley with substantial motorcycle traffic. After some effort, with Expedia’s intervention, I was moved to a less noisy room. The street/alley is busy as there is a nearby staging area for motorcycle taxis. No breakfast, but the friendly staff will arrange food delivery to the hotel from a selection of restaurants. Recommend having hotel arrange transportation as Manila metered taxi drivers are notoriously incompetent and do not have digital map/gps. After convincing staff to change my room, I found them to be helpful and responsive. Very noisy area, but rooms are clean and it is not expensive. After further consideration, I would be inclined to try different hotel in the future with breakfast and less hectic location. At night, street/alley is not exactly safe or well lit which explains need for locked gate. The friendliness and helpfulness of certain of the hotel staff partially offsets aspects of my negative experience. The Riverside Inn has decent guest reviews on Expedia, higher than my rating so perhaps my 4 day stay was an aberration.
I ended up staying nearly three days here and rate the hotel and it’s people (staff) very highly. It’s super clean with good wifi, bar fridge, laundry service etc. The hotel is right in the heart of the makati area and it’s restaurants bars and nightlife but it’s in a cute wee street and is very peaceful private and quiet. The staff were really nice and helpful and Marianne helped us get grab (like Uber) taxis and taxis. Really happy with this boutique hotel and would definitely recommend to anyone.
I messaged in advance to say that our flight would arrive at a later time. Unfortunately our flight arrived late and passing through immigration took much longer than expected. Needless to say, we were promptly received by the hotel staff even at 2am. As soon as the driver pulled up a member of the staff was waiting to escort us inside. The room was immaculately clean, the bed super comfortable and a clean bathroom! The A/C was cold so that was a huge plus. The only downside is that the neighborhood does look a bit sketchy at night, but the hotel is completely safe. It's guarded with a fence and the hotel is more like a multi-storied cottage, each room is secured by a deadlock and a separate door lock. Security is not a question, but I wouldn't recommend walking out and about at night in the neighborhood.

Nice inn close to makati avenue
This inn is very basic. Ithe rooms a clean, the sheets are immaculate and the bathroom is clean. The personnel are attentive friendly and addressed issues immediately. They are very helpful and the info they gave regarding getting a cab is most appreciated.
However if you are looking for a grand foyer or a swimming pool or even an elevator to the 4th floor then this is not it.
Very basic, clean, very supportive staff. Nice stay. Good for people on a budget and specifically want to be close to makati.
It's my second time to stay here. I could only stay one night because we were flying to Northern Samar the following day. The room is always clean and the hotel staff is very friendly and always willing to help.
From the time of booking my stay the staff gave me some valuable information about getting to the hotel and the fares that I should be expected to pay.
Check in was flawless and I was made to feel very welcome at this cosy hotel.
It has a feel of home from home but your needs are catered for.
Staff is so helpful and accommodating.
I am not a hotel rating ecpert but I have travelled a bit and while I would not go so far to say the place is plush I would rate them at 6/5 for the ambient feeling one gets when staying there.
Keep up the good work folks.
Highly recommended and will definitely stay there again.
The room was cozy and clean, but the best part of my stay there was the very helpful staff. I appreciated their efforts to make my fiancee and my stay there as comfortable as possible. I give my sincerest thanks to them.
I chose this hotel first because of the good reviews. They are well deserved. This is a comfortable and well run place with good staff. What I discovered is that the deluxe rooms that are slightly larger for very little more money, are actually pretty noisy. These rooms front the street and street noise is significant. The lesser rooms must be quieter as they are shielded by the front rooms. The other part is just how hard it is for taxi's to find this place. I could guide them after a day of stay.
My husband and I stayed at this inn for a short holiday in Manila and really enjoyed ourselves. The property and room were clean and the staff always smiled and offered to help in any way they could. At initial reception we were given a map of the local area and tips on how to navigate about. It was walking distance to plenty of delicious food, live music, and shopping, and just across the bridge from the Pasig River Ferry stop - so we had easy access to the historic district and waterfront areas in addition to local Makati. The other guests staying here were also friendly, and often struck up conversation. But the best part was that, after an exhausting day around the city, it was nice and comforting to come back to a clean, safe place. Even the bathroom was up to my exacting standards - and my husband will tell you that's pretty impressive.
Excellent place to stay in Makati, the Philippines
From the moment I walked into the Motel I felt home as I was welcomed by the staff who all speak excellent English and it was a joy to be there for a week.
The staff were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much for them.
There is no room service or dining facility, however there is a kitchen and tables and chairs in the main area next to the kitchen and all facilities to make your own breakfast, lunch and or dinner or you can order online and have it delivered to the motel and your room if you want.
The place is kept clean by their staff every morning and every staff member is very friendly and helpful.
There is fast Internet WIFI, Local TV and Fox TV and air-conditioning in the room
The street is a very clean street and at 10.00 PM the gate at the start of this one way street gets closed and there is no traffic passing, so the place is also very quiet at night time.
Getting transport to and from the motel is easy and again the staff is always there to assist and making sure you get the right fare and taxi to your destination
My stay was a memorable one and I made some good friendships with the staff which will make it easy for me to come back again and again when I have to go the The Philippines.
I have been to the Philippines a few times before but never felt safer than what I did during this stay.
Worth coming back and back again.

Great for a cozy accommodation
If you are looking for a cozy accommodation, this place is for you. It has a sensation of being in home.
Small hotel, well kept. Front desk is mostly managed by some guys that don't seem to be too interested, but it's ok. Only thing the rooms are Missing is a tea kettle to make hot water for coffee in the morning. Minibar was a nice surprise. Would recommend.
