The property was very nice and more than expected for the price. We had to cut our trip short and the staff went above and beyond to get us a refund. Dont miss the pizza in the lounge it is fantastic!

This is a lovely property that clearly caters to male golfers. Our group of three women without golf plans were made to feel unwelcome by staff when we had needs (for network television to watch the Olympics or for a private place to take a phone call).

Great place to stay in Manistee! Went with my wife and three year old daughter and had a wonderful stay. Daughter played in the indoor pool, wife enjoyed the indoor hot tub. It happened to be cold the evening we were there, but they also had outdoor pool and hot tub options. As an additional note, we received an email from the manager alerting us ahead of time that there would be live music until 11 P.M. the evening we arrived. This is something that is helpful to know if you have a light sleeping wife and young child. Loved our stay!

Hotel room was very dated. Beds were very soft and uncomfortable. I had a used lotion left there for us. It was extremely noisy and I heard conversations, people talking in the hallway, and doors slamming. We will not return here. On the positive side, the staff was extremely friendly.

Great preople!
Manistee National gave us an amazing vacation, especially the office and lounge staff. From golfing to swimming to e hoying a Friday night of live music and pizza, this resort provides a great atmosphere.

Golf weekend with 20 friends
The staff was fantastic... everyone, everywhere. The gold courses were quite good, the rangers and pro shop employees were some of the best I’ve ever dealt with (beverage cat service was poor, however). My only major complaint is that the WiFi at the Maxwell Cottage was terrible. Connections were questionable, at best and the speed/coverage when I was connected was practically useless.

LOUD CRAPPY TIME
We were in the 2nd floor and until 11pm we had to listen to loud thumping bass, screeching live music, and drums.... the website says come for a relaxing time.... yeah right..... right outside our window was the back of the hotel and that's where the live music started until the rain started then it came inside and was below us. No concern for guests trying to relax or sleep.... also the beds here are extremely broken down and if sleeping 2 people to a bed you will end up both in the middle because the mattress is junk. The 'continental breakfast' was a joke.... no warm food minus a waffel maker and chex cereal is the only option for gluten free needs..... just overall a terrible experience for what should have been a fun relaxing weekend... never going back here, never recommending it to friends or family

There was only two people on staff between front desk, bar, and kitchen but they were incredibly kind and helpful despite being very busy. Room was clean and comfortable. Indoor pool and hot tub was very nice. My kids enjoyed the ping pong table. They have deep dish pizzas made to order in the bar area. My son did find hair in the dough of his pizza. Breakfast area was clean and comfortable, pretty basic options with no hot food available.
