Spacious single wide on 5 acres is under new ownership (formerly Camp OSO). Less than 5 minutes to Tippy Dam, Red Bridge and Manistee River access! The North Country Trail and Manistee River trails are 5 minutes away. Blue Ribbon trout streams nearby (such as Peterson Creek) as well as Tippy Dam backwaters. Sportsmen/sportswomen friendly. In the heart of outdoor recreation, you will be minutes from not only world-class fishing, but hiking, biking, tubing, kayaking, rafting, canoeing, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and state and national forest lands for hunting. Minutes from Manistee and Traverse City and Sleep Bear Dunes. The casino, golf and ski resorts are only 20 minutes away. Restaurants and stores close by. Not far off of Coates Highway in Brethren, Michigan. Walking distance to state land.
This 2 bedroom, one bath (with a huge tub) offers room to sleep 4-6 comfortably, but can sleep up to 8. One queen size log bed, one full and 2 twin beds, along with a self-inflating queen mattress. Fully equipped with a full kitchen, laundry, fire pit and plenty of parking for your ATV’s and boats. Smart TV (many channels) and WIFI provided, along with many amenities. Recreational maps and information available for your use.
We feel your pet is a part of your family – well behaved animals are welcome at no additional cost.

A Little Slice of Michigan Country Life
We rented a pontoon for the week on Tippy Dam Pond and stayed in this home with our daughter and our two dogs. The home is decorated with cabin decor and the kitchen has everything that you need. The cabin was warm in cool weather and cool when the temperatures started to climb. The washer and dryer worked very well, and we were able to pack less things from home. We were sad when it was time to go home and leave this nice home, neighborhood and recreation area.

Wonderful stay very near to Tippy Dam.
The property was very nice. Plenty of room for the friend to stay during our fishing trip. Super quiet area with no traffic. There was a nice campfire area with chairs that we enjoyed. Our host was very nice. We had a great time there and would stay again.

Family Reunion Stay
The property was clean but a little dated. The only issue that we experienced was the electronic door lock battery needing to be replaced. But that was taken care of the next day. Well equipped with commodities like: soaps, cleaning agents, laundry detergents, toiletries, etc.

Relaxing holiday weekend
Mom and I stayed at Camp Smokey over Memorial weekend while other family members were camping 20 minutes away. With mom's health concerns this home was perfect. Every amenity we needed was there and more. Communication with the owner was superb. She was understanding of our situation and delay in coming up. They let us know where the closest hospital was just in case we needed it. It was the perfect retreat to our crazy week. Our dog loved it there too. He is usually a nervous dog in unfamiliar places, but he felt at home from the minute he walked in. (And they had dog amenities as well!) Words cannot express how wonderful our stay was here. We will definitely be back to Camp Smokey! Thank you for the perfect holiday weekend. :)

Enjoyed the Cabin
The spacious cabin was wonderful. Lots of things to do on the inside and out for all ages. The big open yard definitely has less mosquitoes than the cabin in the woods that we stayed at last year. Sheila made the dogs feel welcome with bowls, toys, and sheets just for them. The internet worked great for a Teams meeting so you can do work from home if you need to. We were very happy and thankful for all of the thoughtful things in the cabin.

Perfect end of summer get away
My family and I stayed at the Camp Smoky property for the local North Country Trail Race weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations. The house was neat and clean, had lots of extras (fully stocked kitchen with a snack gift basket awaiting for us on arrival, local recommendations for things to do and places to eat, bath bombs on the jacuzzi hot tub my kids loved, and dog treats in case we brought our fur baby). The owner was very pleasant and communicative, and the property was a short trip to town if we needed anything. Would love to return next year!

Wonderful Getaway Spot
We were looking for a place in this area last minute and the high ratings and price combo were exactly what we were looking for. The host was fantastic and quick to respond to a few questions and even gave us a later checkout when the group after us cancelled. Only thing keeping it from 5-star status for me is the comfort of the mattresses and pillows in the bedrooms. I have back issues and found it a bit rough trying to get comfortable while sleeping. I would also recommend if you have favorite pillows from home to bring them with you.

Tippy Dam is a great property with all of the comforts without any of the streses of home.
This property was great for getaway. It was conveniently located to Mainstee beaches, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Arcacia Dunes, & tons of trails and kayaking. Stop by G&D Alpaca Farm and Gravity Hill if you get a chance. Beautiful property with a large firepit allowed us to end each eveing with a campire enjoying the stars.
