Jungle Roost, a beautifully appointed 4 story jungle house close to the beach

Imagine being 4 levels up, nestled in Costa Rica’s spectacular, pristine canopy. Welcome to Jungle Roost!

Enjoy your morning coffee on the wraparound deck, watching monkeys foraging and making their way across the treetops.

This 2,500 ft2 home has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms and is fully and comfortably furnished. It has floor-to-ceiling windows with unobstructed views designed to bring the outside into the open and welcoming interior. This unique home's architectural design includes numerous sliding glass doors that open to allow breezes through the house. There are ceiling fans and AC throughout the house.

The ground level has ample parking, and a laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer.

The main level includes a spacious great room, fully-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar/island, deck surrounding the living area, and bathroom. Also, you can admire the wide outdoor space and jungle garden as a little piece of paradise from over 2,000 ft2 pool deck. The deck is partially covered by a large gazebo, organized with a dining table, and sun lounges. Enjoy your outdoor jungle life while using the outdoor grill kitchen, serviced with an extra half-bathroom and a hidden shower. Indulge yourself in the gorgeous 10-meter swimming pool featured with a lovely waterfall.

Walk up one level to the expansive master bedroom with two queen-sized beds, sliding doors to the wraparound deck, and massive windows for unobstructed views of the canopy wildlife. This level also has a full bathroom.

Walk up to another level to the fourth floor where there are two beautifully decorated bedrooms with king-size beds and a full bathroom. Both bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors on two walls providing access to the wraparound deck where there is a large outdoor chesterfield for quiet reading or siestas. Don’t be surprised if a monkey (or 10!) sneaks past. Stay still, and they will amble by looking to jump from the balcony to the nearest tree. You will be tempted to feed them, but please refrain – there is plenty of healthy food in the jungle.

The nearby beach is gorgeous and quiet (half a mile - 10/15 minutes walking distance). If you are in the mood for more people, funky bars, good restaurants, surf schools, groceries parasailing and fun shopping, just stroll 15 or 20 minutes along the white sand to Manuel Antonio.

We follow the COVID-19 heath and safety protocols, and we have two different COVID testing facilities within 10 minutes of the house. By booking in advance, it will also be possible to organize the test privately within the house's comfort.

Magical time in Manuel Antonio
My husband and I and our 2 teenage kids stayed at Jungle Roost for 4 fabulous nights and would have loved to stay longer! This trip was a special one because it was our last family vacation before taking our daughter to college. Ismael and his staff could not have made our time here any more comfortable. What a warm welcome! Ismael reached out before our arrival and gave thorough information about recommended restaurants and activities in the area. He served as our personal concierge and we are incredibly grateful. We ate at Le Papillon one evening and returned for brunch a couple days later. The view is breathtaking and the service and food fantastic. Upon Ismael's suggestion we also had dinner at Emilio's (another awesome view where we saw giant macaws), Agua Azul, and Ronny's Place and enjoyed each very much! Ismael organized a zip line tour one day and a fantastic rainforest & waterfall expedition another. If you're up for some adventure, do both!! (breathtaking scenery and high adrenaline). At the end of each excursion, we were so happy to return to Jungle Roost, which is its own piece of paradise. You're surrounded by beauty and feel like you're at your own luxury resort. We saw more wildlife here than at Manuel Antonio park. The pool and cabana are lovely and the home itself is comfortable and has everything you need to relax...gorgeous decor and well appointed! Don't miss spending time at the Playa Playitas too. We loved it all! Thank you, Ismael!!

Family Get away in Manuel Antonio
We really loved the house and the pool. We swam in the pool during the sunny times and rainy times. It's always nice and warm. We saw howler and squirrel monkeys, lots of birds, and lizards from the home. The home is very private and unless you are on a balcony on one side of home, it's completely hidden from neighbors and the road. Ismael was very helpful in providing us guidance to find the home and had lots of recommendations for restaurants. The house is nice and cool inside and looks much nicer in pictures than in photos. It has nice separation between bedrooms and each floor has a bathroom. We loved the outdoor and indoor kitchen, were very thankful to have washer and dryer, and appreciated how close the house was to little grocery stores. The home is just a few minutes drive to the beach and easy to find parking there . After our stay, I reached out to Ismael b/c our daughter had an ear infection. He helped us with finding the right medical facility to get treatment for her. That was much appreciated. If you travel to Costa Rica and rent a car, you need 4 wheel drive, so I recommend that! Manuel Antonio is one of the nicer and more developed places we traveled in Costa Rica, but you still see lots of wild life.

The house and the location are exceptional. What made our stay particularly noteworthy was just how wonderful the host was. I’ve never felt so well supported and well informed at any rental property. Ismael went above and beyond expectations when he assisted with a challenging rental car situation and he was always available for his opinion about outings. He helped us book numerous excursions. My family is quite grateful to all the help he provided, and if our travels ever bring us back to Manuel Antonio. We will be sure to stay here again.

This property was nestled in the jungle. The decor, cleanliness and overall feel was that of being at home in a paradise. When it asked me to rate the accuracy of the online listing, I wanted to put less stars. Why? It’s not accurate! It surpasses how the listing describes it, if you can imagine that?! This place was even more beautiful than we were anticipating. We would have stayed much longer if it were available. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. The ANIMALS!!! On my goodness we were beyond pleased! That is the whole reason we picked this place and we were not disappointed ! We saw two types of monkeys, sloths, macaws, blue morph butterflies and much more! We didn’t even need to leave the house to see these! We came for the animals, but above all things our most favorite was meeting Ismael. He is definitely a super host and the most genuine person. Jungle Roost is a magical place! If you want to see wildlife, it is right outside your door. Manuel Antonio and the beach are within walking distance if you are reasonably fit. Perfect location for jungle immersion in Manuel Antonio
Jungle roost and it’s host, Ismael, exceeded our expectations for our vacation of 4 adults. The property and home are even better in person than in the photos, nestled in the jungle with your own personal “monkey show” from the pool deck, while being close to everything in town and the surrounding area. The home is lovely with many nice touches, all bathrooms and kitchen were supplied with everything you need. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The views from the rooms are amazing! The outside area with pool, fountain, bbq and lush landscaping were an oasis that we came home to every evening since it was too beautiful not to enjoy. Even though several amazing beaches are nearby, we always wanted to save time to come home and enjoy relaxing in the pool. I wondered if eating outside would be too hot, but the fan over the dining table is powerful and it was always a pleasant experience. All that being said, the best part about this home is having Ismael as your host/concierge! He provided the best service of any host we’ve booked with. It was like having a local friend to guide you to what to do based on your personal preferences, then book them all for you and check to make sure all was going well. He made the vacation what it was- thoroughly enjoyable, fun, relaxing and a true getaway experience! We will definitely come back to Jungle Roost next time! Also suggest Rainmaker preserve and beaches at MA Park after a guided tour. Thank you Ismael!

Absolutely amazing!
Our stay at the Jungle Roost was beyond spectacular! The house is fabulous with an outdoor area that not only provided space for swimming and reclining, but for outdoor dining and most importantly for watching all the creatures who came to visit. We came to Costa Rica hoping to see all types of animals and boy, did we. From the anteater we saw on the first morning to the monkeys and agouti happily munching on leaves, we were entertained every day by more than one animal. As for the host, Ismael, he was also beyond spectacular. He arranged everything from transportation to private chefs to excursions including a day at a beach resort. His knowledge and helpfulness were beyond compare and he made our stay the wonderful experience it was. Ismael is extremely knowledgable about everything there is to do and was always available to answer all our questions. He basically made our stay at Jungle Roost a dream. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will always have the best memories of our trip to Costa Rica thanks to Ismael and his Jungle Roost.

Best Vacation Ever
Don’t hesitate - book the Jungle Roost!! Not only is the house amazing - very clean, has all the amenities you need, in a perfect location - but you cannot find better hosts than Ismael and Francesco. Ismael reached out ahead of our trip and offered his concierge services. He booked all our excursions with his trusted contacts saving me a ton of time and work trying to find the best activities for our family. The house was perfect for our family - my husband and me, my mother in law, 3 teen boys and our 6 year old. We felt safe the entire time and had so much fun from time spent at the house in the pool and out doing ziplining, waterfall tours, offshore fishing and more. We saw dozens of monkeys every evening at dusk and saw sloths and all types of birds. I don’t do well with insects and was worried since we were staying in the jungle, but trying my best to overcome my fears since the kids were so excited to do Costa Rica. We had zero issues - no bugs or spiders (or snakes). We felt safe the entire time both at the house and on our excursions. Ismael gave us so many suggestions on restaurants, private chefs, and grocery shopping and none disappointed. We ate so well, which is important because my teen boys and husband are big eaters. The pics do not do it justice - it is so much more beautiful in person. I highly recommend both Costa Rica and the Jungle Roost. We will be back and have already started planning our next visit to the Jungle Roost. Thank you so much, Ismael!!

My husband and I have recently returned from an unforgettable week at 5* Jungle Roost. The host, Ismael, met us when we arrived, showing us everything we might need to know to fully enjoy the beautiful house and all of the amenities. Incredible home, as their website displays. Monkeys delighted us daily with a show several times a day. Pool was great! We were provided with a list of the best restaurants, activities in the area. The hosts live 5 minutes from the Roost and are thoroughly familiar with the area. This is a "can't miss" opportunity! We'll be back!

The perfect family vacation home
All the reviews are accurate! This is a heavenly retreat. We stayed here as a portion of our 2 week family CR trip. The property is luxurious and manicured. Location is excellent for walking to the beach. There is a great surf school to the right when you exit the beach trail and you can avoid heading to the main beach all together. The house is lovely with attention to all details (microfiber cloths for makeup removal). The monkeys will surround you twice a day and the pool is so refreshing and nicely shaded in the afternoons. We will for sure be coming back! Also, the hosts are exquisite people who really want your stay to be exceptional. They understand hospitality and prioritize your safety and well-being. Don’t miss cafe milagro’s breakfast smoothies and French toast.

Paradise!
This property is like your own personal resort except you have amazing privacy. Such detail and care taken with the design of the home and landscaping to be the perfect jungle paradise. It is like staying in a treehouse but with comfort! We were up early each morning to see all the animals. We walked to the beach and restaurants most days but also used Ismael’s suggested drivers to cart us back and forth when needed. Ismael is really what makes this property stand out from any other we have been to. It was our first trip to Costa Rica and he made everything easy! He helped with everything from transport, best restaurants, excursions and local tips. This was the perfect vacation!

This was a remarkable house, location and especially the Host. Surrounded by birds, monkeys, and lush gardens, you wake up to a gorgeous dip in the pool after a sound comfortable sleep. Loved the house and it's amenities - pool and AC. It has comfortable beds, which is a plus. Beautiful location. The town was really cool with plenty of places to shop and eat. Relax and have fun
We loved the access to the beach. We relaxed in the pool everyday. We were in awe of the surroundings and wildlife- monkeys, sloth, and other creatures. The property mgr, Ismael, was extremely helpful and available to assist. He offered great tips and insight to the area. He even secured a private dance lesson and yoga at our request. We definitely recommend a 4 wheel drive. Our family vacation here was a huge success! 😊

The house is just as pictured and a very beautiful jungle surrounding. We loved getting to see the monkeys every day as well as beautiful birds and iguanas that visit. The pool and swing made it fun for the kids. The host met us at the property to show us around. He was in communication with us from the time we booked the house and offered helped with reservations for excursions and made great recommendations to us. Overall a great stay for our family, no complaints!

wow - so much more than we had hoped for
This was our second trip to CR. My wife found this home and it looked (and was) amazing! We had multiple visits from two of the three primary monkeys in that area (very close contact), had a sloth less than one meter from our cameras (the sloth put on a show and totally looked like he was smiling at us), birds galore and it just sounded like a jungle outside. the pool was amazing to swim in each day, the huge swing was fun for our teenage kids and was SO central to everything. Restaurant recommendations was spot on. Now for the best part - Ismael. He was the most amazing concierge EVER. We booked jet-skiing, fishing, surfing, ATV, water rafting and personal chef one night. He KNOWS how to pick the vendors - each one was so unique and special. We felt 100% safe and he paired our family with the right outfits. He checked in often and was willing to do absolutely anything to make our trip special. Our rental car picked up a flat and then and I hit part of a stump at Playa Linda (amazing beach). He found vendors that fixed our flat for $6 USD and the bumper damage for $140 USD. Talk about over the top...He even helped arrange for transport for us while our car was being repaired to get back to the house to enjoy our last two days in CR. We will never, EVER forget this trip or the hospitality that was shown to us and this beautiful, one of a kind home. Thank you SO much for such a once in a lifetime trip.

Jungle indeed!
There is not enough time or space to explain our amazing experience at Jungle Roost, If all the 5 stars reviews don’t already sway you maybe I can. We have traveled to Costa Rica for over 20 years(4th trip to Manuel Antonio). To start Ismael and Francesca are unbelievable, every question we had, every reservation we needed, and every detail was covered. Taxi services, restaurant recommendations, private chef(Desiree, she was great), and fishing charter(we caught 6 sailfish and 2 mahi) all taken care of by Ismael. We enjoyed the top balcony with coffee and monkeys almost every morning, got to be up early though! The house and the grounds are beautiful. Perfect for our family of 4. The walk down to beach is about 1/2 mile, walk up is steep but manageable, take your time. The pool was perfection after the walk back! It took no time at all for our kids to feel at home. From the treasure chest full of games to the outside closet with pool toys, our kids had plenty to do! Oh and I can’t forget the beautiful hiking trail to the waterfall. Overall 10 out of 10!

Best VRBO We've Had
My family has stayed in about 20 VRBO properties in the US, Europe, the Caribbean, and Costa Rica. Jungle Roost was our best experience. First the hosts: Ismael and Francesca are amazing. They helped us book great tours, and even helped us reschedule when I double-booked (the group they use is called Manuel tours - they are fantastic). Ismael communicated with us every step of the way. When we said we hadn't seen any sloths, he offered to come by and help us look (we saw one 20 minutes later). Even though we were only there for 4 days, we felt like honored guests. These people really seem to enjoy what they do. Next, the property: When Ismael told us we might see more large animals here than in Manuel Antonio, I thought he was exaggerating. But we saw more howlers, capuchins, and iguanas at Jungle Roost than we did the entire rest of the time we were in CR. We saw 2 sloths, including one about 4m off the pool deck. The property was impeccably clean, the pool is great, the beds are comfortable. 6 people would be comfortable here. We made our own breakfast each day and ate by the pool. The location is very good - although you probably won't walk anywhere except maybe the beach (which is a great beach by the way - you can also drive there and park). The Super Joseth market is 5 min away, has anything you'd want, and it is open late. 15 - 20 min to Manuel Antonio, 30 minutes to Villa Vanilla spice tour, 10 min to Quepos, 5-10 min to a few shops in Manuel Antonio.
