Frank and Mark's Excellent Adventure.
The owner was great and very responsive to any needs we had. My husband, his brother, my sister-in-law and myself, are all late 60's early 70's. Property might not be ideal for some people our age because of uneven flooring. The layout is a bit funky, but such a great location. The front porch is a lovely place to sit and watch wildlife. The outdoor shower turned out to be great fun. The beds were so comfortable, but I would suggest to this owner to go out and purchase new bedding. The bedding (not bed) was old and stained.

Do Unto Others as You Would Have Done I to You
I am the happiest miserable guest that ever was. When my Boys and I arrived at Scott’s place we were favorably impressed. Everything as advertised and then some. Great. Then, the next day…everything that could go wrong went wrong. The internet was out then… no water!! I contacted the owner and he apologized and as we had to be at Ferry by 9am we took off. He spent the whole day trying to get well driller to cone out on short notice, set up his wife’s wi-fi and lugged in 5 buckets of water for us to use. Suboptimal? Sure… yet, Scott kept after things and we’ll company was there Thursday 9 am and installed new pump, switches- what have you. By 10:30 we were showering and my Boys made us all pancake breakfast. Scott turned severe negative into super positive experience with good manners and concern for us. Place is top notch and when you stay here, chances are you will never need to worry about water next 20 years. Bravo Scott!!

Fun stay at a great location
We had a wonderful time at Scott's place. The location is prime for getting around to sites around northern Michigan. Scott was very helpful and made the process very easy.

Wonderful stay at this comfortable and quiet farmhouse
Our family had the most wonderful vacation in Maple City. The host was helpful, knowledgeable about the area, and a delight to talk to. The restored old farmhouse was cozy and comfortable. We spent most of our time on the front porch when we weren't out exploring the beautiful area. The outdoor shower was refreshing- don't worry, there is also an indoor shower AND a claw foot bath tub. This was a very peaceful place to stay and a fabulous location for visiting Glen Arbor , Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Leeland/Fishtown etc. We can't wait to visit again! Thank you Scott and family for taking such good care of our family.

Great location
Nice place that is restful and quiet. Centrally located to everything. Scott is a great host and we enjoyed our stay. We were 4 couples and the place was comfortable. All enjoyed cycling, hiking, golfing and kayaking. Nearby towns were fun to explore including the many local wineries. We appreciated the quiet location away from the many tourists.

Beautiful, historic home and farm!
My family enjoyed our time here. Lots to do in the area. House could have been a bit cleaner upon arrival.

Fit for our Family Vacation!
We stayed at the Farm for our family vacation in mid-July. The location of the house couldn't be better, right in between Leland and Glen Arbor. There are two great Lake Michigan beaches nearby at Good Harbor and Pyramid Point. For the most amazing sunset, do the Sleeping Bear Dunes scenic drive! Access to Little Traverse is across the road (with a dock) and there is an easy boat launch site just around the corner. We brought our boat up and spent time on Little Traverse, Glen Lake, and Lake Leelenau. The house fit our family perfectly, 8 adults and a 7 month old. It was very spacious and allowed everyone enough room to themselves. This place has all the needed amenities and more. The big yard was great for yard games and late night fires. We used the hot tub on the cooler nights after sunset swims in Lake Michigan. We appreciated the A/C units in the bedrooms upstairs as it got pretty stuffy without. One thing to note is if your are looking for privacy, this is probably not the right place for you. There are quite a few people out and about the barn and property/neighboring properties. It didn't bother us a bit as everyone was very friendly and respectful. My nephew enjoyed visiting the chickens & ducks each day at the barn. Scott was very accommodating and went above and beyond to help us enjoy our vacation and stay at the farm. Thank you, we had a wonderful vacation!
