Better than expected.

I had read some negative reviews and several good ones, so I wasnt sure about this place. However, it was better than I expected. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was nice. You can tell the age of the resort around the baseboards that needed cleaned and a good paint job. Honestly though, I would stay here again. It was right off the highway in a good location. The pool looked clean and the sitting area on the water was very nice. And yes, there are roosters roaming! We loved them! Not too expensive for the Keys, especially the end of March and first week of April!

Very convenient & charming place to stay, I appreciated the helpful staff, the guest laundry, and the pool. Be advised there are a lot of chickens around the hotel that might be annoying to the light-sleepers in your party. (This may be a common problem in the Keys.)

Good location with easy access to grocery. Dysfunctional AC unit upon arrival; replaced with portable unit that was extremely loud. Neighbors playing music very loudly.

Kayaks you can take out, manatees on the dock, friendly staff, clean sheets ... The rooms themselves weren't a five-star resort but for the price we couldn't beat it. We had those stupid wild chickens outside of our room at 6:00 a.m. which was annoying but they're also protected so you can't do anything about that 😂
