On food:
The most convenient option is to use our propane grill with complementary propane. For the true campers, cooking over a campfire is a fun part of the camping experience, so you’ll have your own personal fire pit with a grill top right outside your tent. You will need to buy firewood & fire starter to help get you off to the right start!
A few tips for the grill-inclined:
- Think classic: burgers, sausages, steaks, kebabs, etc.
- Disposable metal pans seem to work best
- Nearest grocers are H-E-B in Marble Falls (supermarket, 15 min) and Smithwick Market to the right outside the main entrance gate(local, 5 min)
You'll have a small fridge, freezer and microwave as well. If you aren’t planning on grilling, alternate food options are 10 minutes away in Marble Falls and so we recommend planning ahead for groceries /ice and restaurant dining/take out.
Onsite Activities:
- Watching the Sunset over the Colorado River
- Swimming in the Lake/aka Colorado River that's a part of Lake Travis
- Go kayaking on the lake and look at the hill country views large hawks
-Watch a movie outside at night
- Go fishing and catch some large catfish, gar, perch or bass
- Self-guided yoga on the elevated deck/yoga mats provided
- Campfire chats: s’mores recommended, listening to music
- Picnic under the trees or on the river bank with a blanket
- Hang out at night in the hot tub looking at the stars
- Listen to the coyotes howl in the fall
- Go jeeping or ride an ATV at Hidden Falls only 10min away
- Read a book or take a nap in the hammock

Click on my profile to see all listings of other yurt in Spicewood and the three tents in Marble Falls or message to inquire. This property will feel very remote and yet we are only 10-miles from Marble Falls and a 5 min drive to the Smithwick Market for quick items and bundles of firewood for your fire.
You are not in a residential neighborhood. It is dusty in the summer and during heavy rain, may require a 4-wheel drive. If concerned, talk to hosts fist.
PLEASE READ: We would like to inform you about a current construction project that is taking place from 9/1 to 10/4, involving the installation of a commercial septic system. This work is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our facilities and create a more comfortable experience for all our guests.
During this period, you may notice several dirt trenches and missing grass. The installation will occur between the two tents that face the river, and several hundred yards behind Starry Nights.
The great news is that the lower level of the river area remains free of any construction, and the patio view from both tents facing the water will remain unobstructed and beautiful. To minimize disruption, we have scheduled work on blocked days and will be doing new landscaping work only when guests are not booked.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this period of growth and expansion as we prepare to build two treehouse structures.
