I had a lovely stay at Riad Magi, but I'm afraid this review won't do any good because apparently the Riad has been bought by a private owner and I was the very last guest. My room was beautiful and very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were all very friendly. It got a little uncomfortable on my last night, since I was the only person there! But I guess there is no planning for that.

We loved our stay at Origin Hotels - Riad Magi! Not only was the space beautiful but the staff at the Riad was extremely helpful the whole time. Pickup and drop off at the airport was smooth and efficient and the managers were very helpful giving up helpful advice for navigating our time in Marrakech. Our room was always cleaned and the breakfast in the morning was very substantial, much more than a typical breakfast buffet. I would highly recommend this Riad to anyone travelling to Marrakech

The taxi drivers knew where it was. It's at the back of the market and then you have to walk a bit. It's the tired "street" to your left and then walk down through the tunnel and make a right and it's there. nice breakfasts in the morning.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We stayed in the blue room on the second floor and it was beautiful! Wonderful staff and such a neat space. The bed was great and the bathroom in our room was also so nice and clean! We enjoyed the morning breakfast and everyone went above and beyond to help us. Location is also phenomenal! Would definitely stay here again!

Nice Riad but bathroom in the twin room smelled
We had booked to stay at the Riad Magi for 5 nights. We arrived at 9pm after walking from the airport bus stop around 10-15 mins away. The riad is off a main street down a dark lane and around the corner which isn't ideal for female so solo travellers. Yessim (?) was very friendly and checked us in and made us a mint tea. We had booked the last room available on Expedia which was a Twin Room (on the top floor) and the key called it 'Noir'. Whilst the room was nicely decorated, we noticed a very strong and unpleaseant smell in the bathroom. We asked to change rooms immediately but this wasn't possible as there were no other rooms available. We spoke to the manager (Abdel) who was surprisingly unapologetic about the issue we faced and repeated that he couldn't do anything there were no other rooms available. Despite the maids cleaning the room daily, the smell persisted which means that it is something ingrained in the fabrics/walls or a drainage issue. The maid also always left the bathroom doors open which meant that the smell permeated into the bedroom area which was not nice. This persistent odour meant that it was uncomfortable to use the bathroom and definitely tarnished our stay here. I also found the mattress to be very uncomfortable and was unable to swap mattresses too which caused me to have a bad back. We also had a box of cakes and an eyeliner disappear from the room.

Great place was in the centre of Marrakech
This is a lovely place not to far from Marrakech's top sights. The rooms were large and clean, the staff very helpful and polite (special thanks to the night shift staff who treated us to fresh mint tea every evening!). We booked a cooking class (private), which was tailored to our requests and took place at the Riad. Breakfast was very nice, and on sunny days, it was served on the rooftop terrace. We also booked a tour to the Atlas Mountains as well as an airport pickup service through the Riad - both very good experiences, and had the only cars that had functional seat belts in all of our time in Morocco!

Good place to stay
This Riad is located inside the Medina, but away from the chaos and very quiet. Our room was very clean. The only complaint I have is that we had breakfast included and only enjoyed it one day (even though we stayed two nights). We talked to a female staff for us to have breakfast at 7am on our departure day and she agreed, but nobody was available that day and we left without eating anything before catching a 4 hour bus ride to Fes.

Small, quiet riad in the central Medina.
The company (Origins) runs two riads close to each other in the old Medina of Marrakech. Firstly, they are both up a 'side alley' which any solo female travellers might not want to walk up at night! But they say petty crime is low (although we were warned about pickpockets in this area) so hopefully it shouldn't be an issue. The riad itself is very quiet, which is a welcome respite from the madness of the medina and souks. The staff were all friendly, very efficient, although some didn't speak English (happily my small amount of French got me through).

Very helpful staff at a quaint little riad.
This is a small 5 room Riad in the centre of the medina. You walk through the hustle and bustle then as you turn into the lane it becomes a calm quiet hideaway. The place is small but very neat. A few touch ups are needed such as there was no lock on our front door when in the room, the slow drainage in the shower meant you had to wait a while before the next person could go in (unless you don't mind standing in others water), the glass plane in the window was loose, there were only 2 hangers in the wardrobe in a room for two people, the mattress was a little hard for me and the stairs....if you've got leg, back or hip issues the stairs will be a lot for you. With that said the staff were very helpful and friendly, they cooked breakfast every morning and allowed us to keep our water and fruit in their fridge to stay cool as there's no cooling facilities in the rooms. The riad was clean and felt very relaxing and a nice location. For the price it's definitely worth it.

Great stay
The Riad was difficult to find but once you find it, it is like entering a little haven of peace. It is clean and well-equipped with amenities that you will need throughout your stay. The service was excellent and the location is just a 10 minute walk from the main square. Breakfast was filling and delicious and the room was very comfortable. Excellent overall except that it was difficult to find.

Great Riad in the main square
Excellent Riad with great hosts always willing to help you or answer your questions. The location is also great because you stay in a quiet place in the middle of the chaotic central square. Breakfast is also excellent.

Beauty and peace in the Medina without getting los
Beautiful cosy place, clean, calm, thoughtful and friendly staff. Really great. Easy to find from the main square after you've been there once (no getting lost on the way back). The only downside : it's at the very end of a twisting alley, desert apart from youngsters hanging out which called me names when I got back in the evening so I was a bit concerned for my safety, being a female on my own. The staff is super friendly, I'm sure they would have agreed to come pick me up at the entrance of the alley had I asked, but I was there for only one night (unfortunately) so it wasn't necessary.

Highly recommended. Great stay.
We only booked for one night in Riad Magi from a total of 2 weeks stay in Morocco. Although we only stayed for one night, we had a chance to experience all the services they offered. Staffs are all polite and attentive. The rooms are very good. Small place but very cosy. Location is also perfect although it might be a bit tricky to find, but if you contact the hotel, they will arrange someone to pick you up and bring you to the riad. As we stayed in many hotels and riad during this stay, Riad Magi was by far the best and I wished we booked to stay there longer. Their breakfast is way better than other hotels as everyone else is serving the same boring bread everyday that gets tiring if you are having the same everyday.

fact about morocco
we were in Marrakesh for 5 days and this time is definitely too much for it. For 2 days we went to Zagora desert but if you want to go to desert be aware that you need to drive by bus at least 8 hours just to reach camels then only 45 min to the tents where you will spent night. OK sleeping under the stars is fascinating. But the road is extremely crooked. Ask all the details before you book the tour. Because they promise dinner, breakfast, some music even. But nothing is as promised. I felt sick for 3 days out of this trip. But our Riad Magi by Origin hotels is the most satisfying part of this journey. We met very lovely friends and felt at home definitely. We want to thank Yasin who is housekeeper of the riad. He did everything possible to make us comfy as if were at home. So kind and caring. We had a return flight at 6 a.m in the morning and he event served breakfast at 3a.m for us.Also the riad was so clean and neat, in the very center of Marrakesh but you don't hear all the noise that keeps coming from bazaar. An oasis in a desert.

Breath of fresh air in Marrakech
This Riad (once you know how to find it) is close to everything! It's located right in the Medina, not far from the souks, however, it's quiet and cozy. There's a great rooftop terrace where you can have dinner or just sit and read. I recommend paying for lunch or dinner at least once. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We only planned to stay three nights, but then stayed an additional two more (each time we came back to Marrakech after visiting other parts of Morocco). Definitely recommend it!

Oasis of calm
Hotel was very close to the main square, 5 min walk, and within walking distance of almost all attractions. Taxi's are also easy to get from the main square to take you anywhere else. Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. The airport transfer was very good, no way to find the hotel without it so well worth the money. Hotel had fast free wifi, lots of outdoor seating and amazingly quiet and peaceful even though it's right in the centre. Breakfast was served on the terrace or in the courtyard, and even though we checked out at 7am they still prepared breakfast for us! We also had the home cooked meal which was fantastic, served to us in the courtyard which was a nice peaceful alternative to eating out. Beds were spacious and confromatable and the rooms were quite big and bathrooms well equipped with plenty of hot water.

Cosy, calm and majestic riad close to everything
Riad Magi is the nicest and cosiest place I've stayed other than my own home. In a nutshell, the Riad is fantastic and really character rich, the staff are very friendly and genuine, and the location is fantastic, after you spend a day or two realising the near insane frenzy of the souks (markets) you realise why others describe it as an Oasis of Calm. Finding this Riad can be a chore at first but after you do and walk around the area, you realise how great Riad Magi's location is. It's literally minutes from the main square which is the central point to everything in Marrakesh. The longer you stay, the more you appreciate its location. Me and the Mrs stayed here for 6 nights and had breakfast. The food was freshly prepared each morning and we chose to eat on the rooftop as it's beautiful most mornings. I have to mention the mint tea served at breakfast was the nicest we had in Marrakesh. Riad Magi is a wonderful place, with real character but the staff really do make it home. We got to know one of the staff better than others (Yassine) and he was really friendly and helpful. The maid who cleans the rooms and the cook are both super friendly and we felt they we were really being taken care of.

Beautiful Riad!
We had a beautiful stay here. The Riad is so gorgeous. Great location. Although dark alley way at night so make sure ur always with someone. Mohammad was amazing! He was so helpful and such a lovely person. He even organised train tickets for us. The breakfast is delicious and great on the rooftop terrace. The main markets are a 5min walk! The manager spoke little English. But Mohammad speaks English well :)
