Property is well situated for those wishing to scuba dive as the dive centre and boats are right outside the hotel restaurant. Hotel is good with fairly good onsite amenities. Rooms are a good size and clean. The hotel is located on the opposite side to the marina in Port Ghalib and is easily accessible via water taxi which makes for a lovely trip across the marina to the many bars and restaurants.

- My accommodation was great I spent a good time there , the place was very good , the food was delicious , most of the staff were very friendly , the animation team gave good shows every day one of them called Tiger was a very friendly funny amazing person he made us love the place even more. - What I didn't like is finding geckos inside the building & inside the room also excluding Tiger the rest of the animation team care only about foreign people they make sure they know shows schedules , communicate & interact with them while neglecting the local people

Isolated in Port Ghalib
I last visited this hotel about 13 years ago. Upon returning this time, it was starting to show its age! Cracked and broken tiles, all around swimming pool areas. Generally a feeling of neglect. The room and bedding were all clean but sometimes the service from the bar tenders and waiters in the restaurant leave room for vast improvement. Every night in the Indigo restaurant, I had to call the waiter over just to get a glass of water with my meal. The food was perfectly fine, with a fair amount of choice. The pools are cleaned every morning. The hotel is over the other side of Port Ghalib, so needs a shuttle bus to get around to the shops and bar area. The on-site dive centre is the only reason I stayed here!

Property is clean, rooms large and very nice. Pools lovely. Only downside is that there is only wifi in the un-air conditioned lobby it was hot and wifi was weak. No wifi in rooms or elsewhere on resort. If this is not a problem, the resort is great calue for the price, especially as an all-inclusive!

Old and dated with poor service and food.
We checked in to Marina Lodge and were shown to our room where we unpacked. 5 minutes later we were told we would have to pack up again and move to another room as this one had no hot water. I was left in the room, in the dark while my wife went to sort things out with reception. We were told another room number to go to, so with no offer of help we packed up and moved all our gear to this room, which was locked and we had no key. My wife then went off to reception to tell them and to complain and then we were told a different room number, so off we went to the third room. Thankfully this seemed to be the correct room. Most nights there was very loud music till late. The food at breakfast was terrible. Nothing was fresh and was dry and reheated. The only fresh thing seemed to be the fried eggs which are done while you wait. The only real reason I can see to stay here is for easy access to Emperor Divers and their boats.

Nice place but transportation problem
The hotel was clean and the food was good but the gym was terrible machines didn't work and weight equipment was broken and the entertainment could be improved we had only 1 night out of 8 nights was authentic Middle Eastern entertainment should have more nights but the worst was transportation was overly priced no taxis if you wanted to go anywhere you had to rely on car service from the hotel and the prices were outrages l think the hotel should have airport shuttle considering it's only 5k away.

Perfect for divers who just need a place to sleep.
We stayed for 5 nights. For us it was fine, we were diving everyday with Deep Dark Adventures who organised this break for us and as we were diving from the hotel dive centre we just needed a bed for the night. We were half board, breakfast was just what we needed and dinner was fine. There was always something so we never went hungry. The rooms are nice and spacious although a little dates and the same for the hotel grounds. It a great place to stay if you are like us and out all day.

No lift in sprawled out buildings but staff did carry bags up 2 flights for us. No wifi what so ever for the 24 hours that we were there. Need to take the water taxi across the water to get to shops, restaurants and ATM. Large breakfast buffet. Large room with plenty of sitting space. Bed semi-comfortable.

terrible reception and no profesional staff
awful (terrible) staff in the reception we were not well welcomed!!! the check out was horrible at 5 am, the guy in the reception was sleeping, no smiling, he wanted us to pay all the rates . he was not waked up. fortunately for us, i was waked up very well and i realised immediatly about his mistake. no appology he did not ask us if our journey was good. just immediatly after paying, without saying bye , the guy left to sleep the hotel need to be renovated food very very very bad. for exemple , the strawberry jam was like a chimical product transparent!!! we just stayed 2 nights before our early back flight but fortunately!!!!! to go to Port Ghalib , we had to take a car for 6 euros for 2 people , just for 4 minutes The transfert service from the hotel to the airport ( 3 kilometers!!) the guy sleeping... asked us 25 euros!! a theft!!

I would avoid
Booked a king bed, got two singles. Booked marina view and it was barely visible. The toilet leaked, the shower didn’t drain properly. All inclusive is 1100-2300 so in the morning you can’t have a cold drink till 1100, only coffee!! The pool area needs some serious TLC. The staff weren’t rude, just not particularly friendly and to top it off the food was absolutely shocking, we only stayed one night and went back to town to eat, you can also only get there by water taxi or paid for bus. I would not stay here again.

Would not stay here again despite diving proximity. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but you cannot escape the blaring music of shows at night. Food was really subpar.

Check in took 2 hours. 2 taxi bookings made, both took 3 staff half an hour to book and both were late/misbooked. Hotel only takes cash and there is no atm on site so you have to bus to the port. Staff wont book anything without cash in hand upfront and only book with freinds and can barely speak english. Breakfast was 1 star. Wine was watered down. Taps had brown water coming out. Rooms were clean and spacious. Pool was ok. Some staff were trying to be helpful. My advice book a better hotel.

Disappointing stay
The hotel itself was nice but is looking tired in places. The food was very disappointing and not very tasty. The choice was limited and didn’t look overly appealing. Unfortunately the water taxi no longer runs to the marina and has been replaced by a bus. This is a shame and we were also given in correct information about the availability of the bus in the morning meaning we almost missed our transfer. Despite this the rooms are spacious and clean however they can be quite a walk from reception. Also there was no lift to reach the higher floors meaning you need to carry your suitcases up and down.

Horrible hotel no one cares about you
Extreme load Music played by hotel till 2:30am No stuff want to help you with either your reservation or any request. No restaurants cafe near by. To get to the other side you have to take a taxi with rip you 10 euro for 5 mins ride. They said they have shuttle but when we were here 5pm they said shuttle runs once an hour starts 6pm then 6pm Still no shuttle they said 7pm We arranged taxi to air port, 20 euro for 15mins ride and was late for half an hour. Hotel staff will not help other than ask you to wait

Decent hotel with large, colourful, rustic rooms.
Big, characterful room with good air-conditioning. Reception helpful​ when replying to email requests before the holiday and quickly dealing with requests during the holiday. Friendly staff in the restaurant.
