Canal View, superb gîte, Heated Pool near Carcassonne next to Canal du Midi.

Canal View Cottage has the advantage of fabulous views overlooking the Canal du Midi and across the vineyards to the “Montagne Noire” in the distance. You can sit on the patio watching the boats navigate their way up and down the lock on the canal and watch the French people go about their everyday life. Upstairs, the gîte offers a double and a twin bedroom. All towels and bedding provided. Large shower, washbasin + hair-dryer. Downstairs there is everything you need for a relaxing holiday away from home. Open plan area downstairs includes a sitting room area with sofa & armchair,TV, DVD, Radio/CD player. Dining table / chairs with a kitchen offering all facilities. A full-sized oven / grill induction hob and a large fridge/freezer. All crockery, cutlery + tea towels are provided + microwave/ dishwasher/toaster/Coffee filter/washing machine/iron/cool-box etc. On the patio there is a wooden table and 4 chairs. Sun loungers are outside the gite and several up by the pool

Comfortable, well presented property with kind hosts
A comfortable, well presented property with lovely views of the Canal du Midi. It is ideally located for visits to Carcassonne, Cabrespine cave, lovely old French villages and wine tasting. Unfortunately, there was a strong wind during our stay so barbeques were not possible, however, the kitchen was well equipped to cook inside. Ann-Marie and Adrian were knowledgeable and kind hosts. We warmly recommend this property.

Fabulous Spot in superb location
What a beautiful property and so nicely located right on a lock of the Canal du Midi. The property is clean, very comfortable and the hosts are extremely welcoming, but entirely discreet. Cannot recommend staying here highly enough.

Our hosts offered us a comfortable and relaxing spot from which to explore the region. Each day we experienced an adventure and then returned for a swim and an evening meal on the patio. Adrian and Anne Marie were very helpful with suggestions to explore. Thank you 😊

Canal View was well presented and very comfortable. The location was ideal, with pleasant walks along the canal. Ann-Marie and Adrian were welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely house in a wonderful location
We love this house, it’s location, right on the Canal du Midi, and the region in general. The house is well-equipped and comfortable. A large front terrace looks over the canal and a huge rear garden has a lovely pool (shared with the other gite on this site). We have been here three times now and hope to return next year.

A comfortable stay in an ideal location
Canal View is a very accurate description, plus the view includes a lock so plenty of entertainment to go with breakfast. Adrian and Ann-Marie have made the gite very comfortable. It's very clean with all the things you need for your stay. The location is ideal for exploring Carcasonne and the Cather area, most places we visited were within 45 minutes of the gite. We managed to enjoy some time by the beautiful pool, but the weather wasn't on our side for some of the week. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Canal View to anyone.

The Perfect Place
Canal View was the first stop on our drive around the south of France and it was excellent. Great facilities, clean and comfortable. Location is ideal for visiting Carcassonne and the many attractive villages in the area. Before our arrival and during our stay Ann-Marie & Adrian provided excellent information and advice.

This is a pristine conversion of a gorgeous canal side cottage - connected to another Gite and the main house where the owners live. It is very spacious equipped really well. There are loads of really thoughtful details - games for children, loads of information about the area, really well equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom. There is a lovely patio with Barbeque and shared use of a lovely pool with loads of sunbeds, umbrellas. The hosts are generous and helpful but not intrusive at all. A perfect place for a family holiday in a fabulous part of France

Wonderful holiday
My husband and I are traveling in France, Spain and Portugal for 2 months and we have about 2 weeks left of our amazing vacation. Languedoc Holiday gites was by far our favourite- I was sad to leave and truly hope we may be fortunate to return again. Our hosts Adrian and Anne-Marie are wonderful- helpful with suggestions on sights to see, routing concerns, restaurant recommendations, wineries to visit, anything we asked they were more than happy to try to accommodate. The gites are lovely- so cosy, spacious, clean, well supplied, decorated tastefully. The beds are the best! The location is fabulous- directly across from a lock on the Canal du Midi- a great source of entertainment. It was very peaceful, we had the best sleeps. I can’t recommend it enough. Merci beaucoup to Adrian and Anne Marie for helping to make our holiday so special.

Great location with added peace and tranquillity
Spent a relaxing short break in Canal View. Each day started with a short walk along the canal to the local boulangerie, followed by a coffee opposite. Ann-Marie and Adrian made us feel very welcome. The house was just perfect with easy links to Carcassonne and pretty Aude villages. Plenty of room for 4 persons and a complimentary bottle of wine.

Fabulous gîte in a beautiful location
Canal View Cottage is perfect. Tastefully decorated and in an ideal location on the canal bank, surrounded by farms and vineyards. Our hosts Ann-Marie and Adrian were so welcoming and helpful. Inkie, the dog and Sky the kitten were adorable. From the village, it is possible to visit a huge number of interesting places including, Carcassonne, Béziers, Narbonne and many lovely villages along the canal. We had a lovely, peaceful holiday and hope to return.

Great location in a perfect gite
Lovely gite in an excellent location, you can relax in the garden with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down or go for a walk down the canal, watching people negotiate the locks. We hired bikes and rode in to Carcassonne, where we had lunch and then cycled back to Trebes. There are Caves to explore, local wines to taste and only an hour away is the beach, we had a fantastic time, with never a boring moment, oh and there's the pool, which we hardly used as we were so busy...guess we'll have to go back someday! Thank you both for creating such a lovely place for people to enjoy their holidays. Wishing you all the very best for the future and hopefully see you again. Keith, Diana & Kayleigh.

Stunning gite, gorgeous location
Gorgeous, well maintained gite in a beautiful location. Everything we needed for a family break with our two daughters (10&12) Pool was great, kids enjoyed plenty of swimming whilst my partner and I could relax by the pool in the lovely sunshine. Gite is beautifully decorated, well equipped and plenty of space. Great location, super market close by car, short walk to the bolengerie... amazing pain au raisin! Lovely restaurants in Trebes if you don't want to cook. Adrian and Anne -Marie are great hosts, making you feel so welcome but are not intrusive. Inkey the dog very chilled and layed back, Sky the kitten was great fun .... cuddling up on the sofa in the evening! Wonderful stay, had an amazing time.

Great accommodation in great location
We had a wonderful stay in Marseillette with our young kids. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and the setting is superb with canal boats chugging along past the house throughout the day. The kids loved the pool, trampoline and swings and their daily walk to the local boulangerie for breakfast. Easy to get to Carcassonne and the coast from the gite so we were able to do something different each day. A fantastic week.
