Nice hotel, lovely restored, very clean, 5 stars location , access to walking trails , across a road from a golf course, billiard table , tennis table , games ,books . 2 kms to a town Friendly lady at reception , even offered to store my expensive bicycle inside behind service counter !

This is an interesting property to rate. It is important to note that it is neither a hotel or motel. Its primary function is as a conference centre and retreat. In between, it offers accommodation. For pedestrians, I believe it is too far out of town, although I did observe some guests walking. For cyclists, the same would apply in bad weather, otherwise a very easy ride. For motorists, no problem. The reason I mention this is that aside from an 8.00am breakfast (which I didn’t try) there were no bar or dining options for the casual visitor, so you need to go into town for absolutely everything. Other than that, excellent!

We enjoyed our stay here at this beautiful, quiet and clean property. It is well maintained, however, we didn't see any staff during our stay check in and out was self service, which didn't bother us. If we needed something we called customer service number and they were quick to respond and helpful. The only thing is we couldn't eat in the rooms, yet their restaurant was closed as were most restaurants in Marysville so that was frustrating especially with children. It would be nice if there was a communal kitchen or at least fruit and sandwiches made available for guests. The breakfast is continental however could do with fruits and pastries. Overall we did enjoy our stay it, would stay definitely stay here again.
