Introducing the Hickory Treehouse at Earthjoy Village, a truly unique and enchanting accommodation that combines the magic of a childhood treehouse with the comfort and amenities of a modern retreat. Nestled in the branches of four trees, this two-story treehouse boasts a playground with a slide, swing, and two hammocks, providing endless entertainment for up to two adults and four children.
As you ascend the staircase to the wrap-around deck, you'll be greeted inside by a cozy nook bedroom for privacy, a double loft separated by a bridge with a queen-size bed and twin, and a living space with a comfy couch and full kitchenette. The numerous windows provide ample natural light, while the artistic bar contains everything you need for a full meal for six.
The Cozy Nook, located on the main floor, is stocked with games to keep everyone entertained. The outdoor space features a slide off the deck that leads to swings and a hillside with a private entrance to 285 acres of trails to explore, three ponds, and a kid-friendly fishing pond. A fire pit and outhouse are also located on the property.
Explore the property's many trail offerings, including the Hobbit Tree House Trail, where you can find 10 hobbit houses and make a wish in the creek. The five-tree grove is available for a guided tree climb, where you can learn tree tricks and enjoy the best views. Bring a chime to hang in memory of aover one on Jacob's ladders trails and view the other thousands brought by people from all over the world.
Check-in is at 4 PM, and early check-ins can be arranged for an additional fee. A full bathhouse with a shower, toilet, and sink is located near the farmhouse, and additional amenities such as a guided tree climb and firewood are available for an additional cost.
Please note that there is a $50 pet fee per pet, and local tips and recommendations for visiting number one coolest town in KY ~Augusta, KY, are provided inside the treehouse.

Family getaway
We had a wonderful stay at the Hickory Treehouse! I wanted to get my kids away from the busy city life and re connect before the school year started and the treehouse stay was the perfect get away. The place was so clean and they had everything we needed for our stay. There were all kinds of trails and slides and beautiful views all around the grounds of the treehouse village. We had plenty of privacy as well even with others staying in the other treehouses. The owner was there to greet us when we got there and made sure we were set before leaving us to play! We enjoyed the fire put at night and walking the trails during the day. We took a trip to Augusta for dinner one of the nights and had a lovely time walking around that beautiful town as well. If you are looking to go somewhere to re-connect with your loved ones and disconnect from technology and the busy city life, this is a perfect place to stay.

Unplugged Family Getaway
Our family loved our two night getaway in the Old Hickory Treehouse! We were pleasantly surprised with how clean it was for being in the woods. My daughter and I preferred the bathroom connected to the farm house with running water (an easy walk up the hill) the boys didn’t mind the outhouse. We loved exploring the property together, having a fire, and checking out the stars. We also booked a tree climb and it was a lot of fun. Highly recommend!
