Great relaxing stay!
This truly is a little hidden gem. The house has everything you need with a few extra touches! All instructions leading up to and at the stay were very clear and understanding. The best part is the river. Nothing like enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony with the relaxation of the river sounds. Extremely close to town, yet you feel like you’re so far away! Truly a great place. We will be back 🙂

Such a peaceful and lovely stay!
Just 4 old friends that are empty nesters having a 2 night get away! Great location, and a clean, cute and lovely place to just be together. We were so happy to have a big driveway so we could safely park our boat. Bring your own condiments for the kitchen, just the basics provided. Comfortable beds and overall a wonderful stay! You must be very adventurous to walk down to the river! Beautiful sights and sounds. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Grandma get away
We took my mom and our 4 year old for a weekend get away. This cabin is a nice little cabin on the river in a quiet location. It was a great way to get out of town for a couple days without having to go camping because our son wanted his GiGi to go with us.

Cabin was great. Right on the river. The trail down to the river was quite steep and we were unable to access the river. Very disappointing. This should have been better described in the listing. Would suggest upgrading the trail for easier access to the river.

It's a quit place away from the hussle and bussel, back balcony looks down on the river. heater in every room. Dvd player, roku with prime available. really enjoy the smell of the pine trees all around us and the sould of the river from the back balcony.

Great location with plenty of beds. It is also pet friendly which is a huge bonus. The location over the river is very peaceful and beautiful. Only negatives are that the bigger beds are too soft, and that the wood stove is difficult to keep going.

Charmingly rustic, but POORLY MANAGED!!
This is difficult to write, because you can feel the love that once was a part of this little cabin by the river. All you need do is look around at all the personal touches, and you will know how much the family treasured this retreat. But, things change, circumstances change, and this beautiful family asset is now a filthy, undermaintained, unsafe rental. The carpet is absolutely disgusting. The deck is in desperate need of replacement/repair, and the outdoor furniture has months of caked on dirt and grime. The kitchen stove was so greasy, it took four applications of the heavy-duty cleaner we found under the sink to clean it enough to be able to use it. One of the twin bed mattresses is off the frame or broken. The coverlet on the queen bed upstairs looked as if a wet dog had crawled up on it and slept. There was dog hair on the couch. There was hair (not ours) in the shower. The slider track, and all window tracks are filled with dead bugs, grime and who knows what else. We reported everything, with pictures to Vacassa, and this was their respose: "Please note that we have not yet received any update from our local staff about these issues. In case we do, we will get back to you". What???? We responded to say that perhaps their local staff should be looking for other jobs. As is the usual Vacassa response, they apologized. Sadly, this family asset is being destroyed by a sub-par management company. Terminate Vacassa!!

Sweet 16 success
I bought this trip for my daughter’s birthday present. She’d had a rough year and needed to get away from the stress of this area as we live in the desert. McCall was everything she needed. It was a beautiful cool area that had so many kind people that were welcoming to all of us! She didn’t want to leave!

We really liked this great cabin! The location was fabulous easy to get to anywhere in McCall. We had friends meet us there and golfed, hiked and biked. Would definitely recommend this property. Thanks for a great fall getaway.

Cute, great location, rustic
The cabin is in a great location. The main floor is comfortable and kitchen well stocked. The upstairs is worn, and the overall cleanliness left something to be desired. Property management was responsive, although it took some time.

Not Coming Back
The cabin was disappointing after so many positive online reviews. I would not return or recommend it. It did have a beautiful deck and the sound of the water was lovely. It was also, as advertised, close to town. These nice points did not make up for: (1) no ability to regulate the temperature in the cabin or reach anyone to help. This was especially frustrating because “local support” was part of the advertising for this cabin; (2) dirty deck chairs and dishes left in dishwasher for us to unload; (3) no kitchen towels at all, so no ability to wash and dry dishes by hand; (4) no dishwasher detergent; (5) only a few paper towels for kitchen; (6) bedding seems worn out and it is unclear if the duvets are being washed in between guests; (7) screen to porch window is duct-taped but there are still holes; (8) some windows have no screens at all. There is just a general sense of disrepair (one of the bar stools wobbles) that makes it feel like a rental.... instead of a well-cared-for home. It was not a terrible experience but I would not come back.

Great location, terrible management
The property itself was beautiful and in a great spot. The house was clean and had lots of room. No AC in the house though, which proved to be a little hot. When we first got there the key code provided on the Vacasa app was wrong. We stood around for 30 minutes trying to get the key, and I tried contacting the number I was provided and was on home for 45 minutes to no avail. Finally I checked this app and it had a different key code, so I used that one. Next, a big storm caused a tree branch to fall and shatter the back patio table. Once again I tried to contact the property manager to no avail. Never heard back after leaving a message. Horrible property management to get ahold of. Won't rent again simply due to that.

Loved the location!!
Beautiful view of river from the deck. Cabin is in the midst of the forest. Saw many deer. Raccoons helped themselves to fruit we left on the deck :) We did not have a phone number for the property manager and had problems getting in touch when there was an issue. Once we talked to her, all was well. We would definitely go there again!!

Great cabin, terrific view and all around comfortable!
Fit the four of us perfectly! Kitchen was well equipped.... Could have had a pitcher. We have to suggestions.... The beds upstairs were extremely hard so a 3 inch foam pad would be a great addition. Also we could not get the DVD player to connect to the TV and there wasn't any remote for the DVD. ..therefore was great to have Roku.

Quite but needs a bit of refresh
Place was in perfect quiet place for us. Deck chairs needs to be replaced weathered and cracking. I would say close to being unsafe. Beds could use replacement. You can tell pretty much past where useful life should be. Other than those easy corrections...love the weekend. Great place for ease weekend qetaway!

Clean, cute well priced river cabin
The cabin and amenities were nice! We wish we realized how steep the trail was to the river and the lack of space to let kids roam outside. While the outside space wasn’t the best for our family the cabin is in a great location and has good interior. We did have a neighbor complain about the trash can “always being out”. We explained it was a vacation rental.

Great location for what we needed
We enjoyed this cozy cabin. There were 4 adults and the bedroom and bathroom situation worked great. Furniture in the family room area accommodates 3 adults comfortably but the 4th adult was generally seated at the dining table. One more comfy chair would be great!! The cabin has a well stocked kitchen for cooking meals in. Our only wishes would be access to a washer/dryer, cable and outlets upstairs that keep the plug in them. Cord was always falling out and then in the morning you had no charge. The back deck has this amazing view of the river - would be great to have the snow cleared so you can really enjoy the outdoors! NOTE - the upstairs toilet runs a bit all the time. We weren’t sure if that was intentional to prevent pipes freezing or not.

The home was furnished with everything we needed (including firewood). The oven was large enough to cook a 15 pound turkey for Thanksgiving! Great access down to the river as well. I would highly recommend.
