We spent a night here as an overnighter on a road trip. Our room was extremely dirty which really grossed us out. Under the beds was filled with crumbs and debris, almost like their cleaning protocol was just to sweep everything under the beds. Same with the TV console, I pushed it closer to the wall and the floor underneath was repulsive so I had to pull it back out to cover the debris. The bathroom grout was stained grey from never being cleaned. Aside from that, the walls and door had marking on them that could easily have been cleaned but no one had bothered. The only good thing this motel had going was the water slide for the kids which is open We’d-Sun 5pm-10pm.

Overall it was a decent place. The building and rooms are showing age...lots of chipped paint, pealing of paint walls in the bathroom, no house keeping services had to go ask for fresh towels for our shower on day 2.

2024 Shakespeare Festival trip
The staff were great. The room was not super clean, especially the floor. The TV, microwave, coffee pot and lights were all on a power strip that was hanging from the plugs. This was both a fire hazard and the TV kept turning off because it couldn't stay plugged in. Fortunately, I didn't really spend much time in the room. I want to repeat that the staff were great. Gave me a couple extra pillows - when I arrived there were two tiny pillows, about 12"x12", which was ridiculous.

Hot tub was dirty. King size bed had 3 small pillows. Door wouldn't shut and lock from the outside. Could lock from inside, but when left the room it was unlocked the whole time. Breakfast was cereal and waffles. Slide to pool did not open on time. 45 minutes late. Very dispointed and no discount was offered. Will not be staying there again.

The price was right. Staff was friendly. Good location. The bathroom sink and shower didn’t drain. The toilet seat felt like it was coming off, which in turn made it feel like you were going to land on the floor. I brought the above items to the attention of the front office and they said they appreciated knowing as they wouldn’t have known otherwise. So they seemed genuinely interested in knowing and looking to make it right.

The water slide was an amazing perk of staying here, especially since we were on a road trip. My kids really enjoyed it after being in the car for 8 hours. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the staff was nice.

Don't pay extra to stay here instead of other nearby hotels because of "breakfast" like I did. It's not worth it. Boiled eggs, vanilla, bread, english muffins, waffles you make yourself, cereal, milk, 2 flavors of yoghurt, and green apples. No bacon, scrambled eggs, or potatoes of any kind. There was a hidden $30 non-refundable pet deposit that was not mentioned until I arrived.
