I had an incredibly disappointing stay at Anwar Al Movenpick Madina. From the moment I checked in, it was a series of frustrations. I was given the wrong room, and despite being in a non-smoking hotel, the entire place reeked of smoke. The smell was unbearable, and my baby, who has asthma, suffered greatly because of it. When I approached management about the issue, they were unhelpful and had a hard-to-get attitude. No resolution was offered, and the situation was brushed off. We were eventually moved to two different rooms, but the smoke smell never went away. On top of that, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable—no cushion at all, just a hard surface that made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. The housekeeper even told us not to mention the smoking issue to the front desk when he saw how disappointed we were. It felt like no one cared about our concerns. Overall, this hotel completely failed in both service and comfort, and I would not recommend it to anyone

I recently stayed at movenpick. I wouldn't say a complete 4*. It truly needs a revamp of the hotel. Everything dated. And we had a room that was not cleand had to change the room. I felt not keen after the stay.

So we stayed her for 3 nights recently and all I can say is that this hotel needs major renovation. The bathroom we got was so old, mold everywhere and you can tell they have done quick fixes just to somehow keep it together. Pictures provided by management are very old. The room had a damp smell. You’d rather stay at a hostel. The only positives were the location (almost at the doorsteps of the masjid) and breakfast. Staff were nice too!

The breakfast was good only missed out on beans they had everything else which was amazing definitely would book again here for that, however the the room wasn’t in too much of an expected condition I think they need to refurb. The toilet in the bathroom is to shallow making it very uncomfortable to sit on. The sink and shower was okay shower gives you a scare with a loud bang every time you turn it off. Room service was too notch.
