Sitting high in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, Elk Haven Lodge is a family owned and operated ranch located adjacent to the White River National Forest in a remote and beautiful setting, with some of the best hiking trails, ATV trails, elk and other big game hunting and trout fishing in the Rocky Mountain Region.

The White River National Forest provides a wide variety of game and terrain for the Colorado hunter and Colorado adventurist. We have North America’s largest herd of elk in our 2.5 million acre backyard.

Elk Haven Lodge is located 10 miles south of Meeker. Our property line backs the White River National Forest and connects directly to a maintained trail in Colorado Hunting Unit “23”. Meeker is a quaint town with all the amenities and charm a small town offers including boutiques, brewery, wine and cheese shop and more.

When It comes to big game hunting, The White River elk herd is one of the largest migratory herds in the world. This Colorado high-country holds some great mule deer hunting and bear hunting as well. High country lakes and streams are scattered throughout the White River National Forest, many of which hold excellent fishing opportunities for various species of trout.
