Great location for what we needed, ample parking although tight spaces. Great size room and the bed was super comfy, more pillows would have been nice. Room was a little dusty but clean. Was a little disappointed as they pictured a pool/hot tub but was blocked off. Surrounding rooms were extremely loud but staff dealt with it well. All in all if I needed to be in that area would stay again.

The location is convenient with easy access to Kings Way and St Kilda Road (access to tram stop). Staff is friendly and informative. We requested additional towel and the room service staff was quick to bring it to our hotel room. We booked a room with free parking and breakfast included. Parking was secured and covered with key access. There's also off street parking which is free on weekend. Breakfast was considered a good & standard Continental breakfast, top up regularly. The room itself is spacious but it lacks cleanliness. There was plastic leftover on the carpet (looks like not yet vacuumed) and dust on the table. Luckily bed and bathroom are clean.

When you feel like you are the problem.

I was given a room on the first floor, next to a staff room, with a alley view of a multi-story car park and woke to the early morning smell of breakfast cooking. I could just about live with that, but at around 8.30 am there were building works carried out somewhere very close inside the hotel next to my room. A very loud drilling and tapping sound, while I was trying to go back to sleep. Reception seemed aware of the noise when I asked if there was a possibility I could shift for the next couple of nights I was booked in. No promise was made and I was asked to check when I came back from my afternoon of meetings. When I came back late afternoon I inquired and was told yes, but there would be an upgrade fee. I just said forget it. The reception was lack-lustre to say the least. Very little enthusiasm to help or accomodate. Somehow I was made to feel I should just put up with sub par accommodation or pay a premium for a room standard which should have received in the first place. Next time they should advertise discounted rooms in the part of the hotel under repair.
