Location is the plus. Checkin was poor- took about an hour as I was allocated a very rundown unrenovated room, then I was allocated a room with someone already occupying it, then finally got a room that was adequate. Room is very basic. I wanted a room with a bath however water isn’t hot so it was useless. The hotel shouldn’t reference Rydges as it implies a certain standard

It was easy access to the palais were we attended a concert. A 5 /10 minute easy walk. Staff very freindly and accommodating, with our request. And an affordable pricecwill definitely stay there again

Central Location
Comfortable motel ensuited room. The staff are excellent, attentive and dealt with my two issues very professionally and quickly. My rating reflects the noise I experienced. I stayed 3 nights Thursday to Sunday - Thursday perfectly quiet location but Friday & Saturday nights around 1am I was waken by returning guests. Apart from this the room is located in a very central position in St Kilda and is generally quiet and with great staff so would recommend.

Room was aged much more than the pictures suggested. There was a lot of homeless in the streets surrounding the area that were acting drug affected. We left a day earlier than planned and booked somewhere else after the smell of weed filled the hallways of the level we were on. We did get a refund for what would have been our second night but were charged for mini bar items that we never touched or used.

The kettle is a bit dodgy, spills water when you try to pour but that aside this is a good place to stay to catch a show in St KILDA. The breakfast is also very good.

Comfy beds, but one pillow very shabby and needed replacing in each bed. Good bathroom facilities (shower), decent size room and quiet (although right next to the lifts). Rubbish heater/cooler (took forever to reset). Hair dryer was terrible - only one heat (low) and cracked on the casing (reported to hotel staff). Easy check in, staff were very helpful. Building quite shabby and in need of some upgrade. Lift very slow and small (lots of odd noises when inside which were a little disconcerting). Onsite bar only open at weekends.....bit disappointing. No food for the evening....quite a few places around to find food/drinks though but the area close to the hotel quite shabby and a little uncomfortable for women on their own. Is close though to St Kilda seafront where it felt safer for us. Cheap hotel, so I suppose we got what we paid for

Property is somewhat rundown. We had a room with a locked door to a connecting room. We could hear everything going on next door. Additional parking at $35/n was a bit steep but felt obliged due to unsafe street parking.
