The morning checkout person - Monica at Memphis Graceland La Quinta - refused to give me a checkout receipt upon checkout this morning. I am traveling for business and I require as CEO of my company - as does my CFO - a checkout receipt for all expense reports. I could not get a printed or emailed checkout receipt from Monica. She first said she couldn’t access my checkout receipt and then when I asked if I was in her system she said yes and that she didn’t have to give me a checkout receipt. I have never run into this before. I don’t know if it’s laziness, lack of customer service, or a training issue where she doesn’t know how to provide a printed or emailed receipt but given the number of people who come through Memphis and stay at your hotel I hope this is addressed immediately. Thank you!!

Great Graceland Visit
When we checked in on Wednesday 11/13 the front desk clerk, Gwen, asked why we were in town. We told her to visit Graceland. She immediately offered their shuttle to bring us to & pick us up from Graceland the next day. And the shuttle was also offered the following day to bring us to the Guesthouse at Graceland to meet the tour bus to Elvis’ Tupelo birthplace! The shuttle driver, Dennis, was very pleasant & helpful! All of the staff were very friendly & helpful…but Gwen & Dennis went above & beyond! It made this trip that we had planned & looked forward to for so long that much more special!

Our ice bucket wash dirty and we had no body wash so they said I could come down and get some. When I went to put it in the holder, it looked like the holder had never been cleaned. As for safety, they had a note at check-in advising to remove everything from your car because if break ins. I was disappointed.

Took a taxi to and from a local attraction. First thing both said was you are not in a safe area. Don’t walk after dark. The note on the front desk stating “there have been many vehicle break ins, leave nothing of value in your cars. We are not responsible”. This should have been a clue. Having said that we never had anything taken over two nights. Our room was facing a concrete manufacturing plant with many “bangs” and large vehicles moving throughout the morning and daytime.

I booked this property specifically because it had airport shuttle service. Once I got there, they informed me the shuttle started at 4:30am which would not allow me to make my 5am flight. They offered no alternative compensation or arrangements. I ended up having to take the latest shuttle at 10:45pm the night before as I am a young female traveling solo and did not feel safe relying on an Uber in the middle of the night. In addition to this inconvenience, the original room they assigned me to had not been cleaned. I walked into a stripped bed and takeout food spread out across the room. I did not feel comfortable staying at this hotel.

Customer service was good by staff, but very rude by a couple. Housekeeping staff were amazing. We had a room that the bed had springs pushing through and the phone didnt work. The toom had a fowel smell. We were given another room, it was in better condition however the bed was horrible. We would not return to this hotel only due to the beds.

We were advised at check in. That due to numerous vehicle breakins in the area we shoud take precautions. Also one of the elevators had a fire. We had to evacuate and we returned when safe. Wonder when elevators were inspected.

Very rude check in our room was dirty. Sheets were not changed had hair and blood. Mattress looked like someone was stabbed blood everywhere. Carpet dirty Lobby smells like black mold. Was not offered another room Didn't seem too concerned about the issues that we were encountering You are advised to take all your bones into the hotel do the break-ins with the vehicles very unsafe area
