Worth the price I paid; what I expected.
The room itself was perfectly fine - clean and comfortable. I chose the hotel based on its closeness to the convention center. Downtown Memphis has a bad rep for safety, and this hotel’s answer to that is its rooms all being secured behind a fence. My only complaint was the non-working WiFi.

It wasn’t to bad, not for a short stay at least. Lots of patch work on the walls, I had cigarette burns in my blankets and the sheets and pillow cases were stained. There was also a clump of hair in the shower and it looked like hair from (down under). Kind of sketchy at night between the constant loud revving engines and what were definitely gun shots at some point.

The moment I entered the room I realized the wifi wasn’t working, manager was no help and refused to provide another room, other rooms had wifi but not room 116 , I was in need of searching online for entertainment as my first visit to Memphis also could not reach out to friends that I arrived safe

I made a 2 night reservation, paid in advance, and did not have a hotel room when I arrived. I knew I would arrive after midnight, so I attempted to call the property multiple times throughout the day with no answer. I checked the website and it stated check-in ended at 3am, so I wasn't concerned. When we arrived at 1 am I was first told that I did not have a reservation for the first day. The clerk started he could not discuss it with me because I had booked online and would need to discuss it with the online booking. When I started taking to the online booking, the check told me he gave my room away because I was not there by 9:30pm. When I said I had tried to call multiple times throughout the day he picked his phone up and called to show that the phone rang. I stated that it was not being answered when I called. The clerk also told me that the website did not state 3am was the latest check-in for a reservation even when I showed him proof of this. Overall, I am highly unsatisfied with Motel 6 Memphis.

Horrible stay at the heart of Memphis
Place smelled like bleach and other bad odors. Bathroom door is broken and doesn’t close. They have sheets instead of blankets. No coffee. All the cabinets are empty. Shower head is hanging. Looks like floor boards have mold. So horrible
