Inaccurate Location
I booked this VRBO solely on location. This is my father's home town and I made sure to be within a 1/2 mile at most walking distance of his childhood neighborhood. We are a family of 6 and have 4 children so walking is a necessity. The VRBO map location indicated the apartment was off of Corso Cavour. It is not. It is located 15 minute away (North) and you need to get there by taxi. This was a significant inconvenience to me and my family as well as the group I was traveling with. We had to take a taxi every time we wanted to go downtown. A taxi for 6 people was 35 euros 1 way and we were taking 2 taxis per day minimum. We had to pack up our things for the day and use my sisters apartment downtown for the restroom and kitchen. My other family members booked their apartments off of my apartment. This was disastrous and when the host was notified of the issue and asked to be reimbursed for money we spent on the taxi's, we were declined and she blamed VRBO for the inaccurate location. Do not stay here. The location is completely inaccurate and really ruined out stay in Messina and cost us a significant more amount of money that we hasn't budgeted for.
