Stayed in the Vegas room and there was no soap or shampoo provided. Also I had booked the room for the jet tub which didn’t work. Tried calling the number provided for the property but it didn’t work. Will not stay there again.

This motel was a surprise. It is so American. The buildings, the names, the layout, the menu. It's main disadvantage was the fact that the tap in the bathroom was loose. I reckon that this is more American rather than German quality.

Interesting arrangment and room decor. Issues with locating keys (for some reason they rely on a mechanical contraption to supply keys rather than the receptionist) and no hot water. Staff friendly and a good breakfast though. Probably worth what I paid.

I came to the Road Stop Neandertal to find a highly recommended hotel near Wuppertal that was not too expensive. The pictures caught my eye as being colorful- and I liked that our room would have sort of two bedrooms to get some space from the kids (2 teens). The best features to me were: the food at the restaurant was great! - Super breakfast buffet for only 10EU and the beds were very comfortable. The outside of the place is very cute and wooden with balconies... liked the terrace from the room. Mettman is close enough to Wuppertal if you have a car. The worst feature was the lame wifi that couldn't stay connected at all! My kids needed to blow off steam and not use up their international data, my husband needed to do work and I was planning our adventures... and it was very frustrating. Also, the motel is VERY POORLY MARKED! They desperately need a sign! We arrived late at night and had a very hard time finding the place. The GPS kept saying we were here but we went around the block a few times before we found the ally that led to the back of the bar attached to the restaurant! We had the football Room. I didn't realize the rooms had themes. The idea was kind of cool... the floor in our room was astroturf, there were football decorations and a cage for a closet... but the shower was a gang stall with no door and it flooded the bathroom every time someone took a shower. Also, there was a small kitchenette, but no desk of bureau of any kind to put things on or in.

Pretty cool spot. Everything together big restaurant with a hotel right there. Good food. The rooms are each themed and mine was cool, Space. Just throw in a fan and it would ve good. I know not to ask to improve the beds since its just how they are in German hotels.

Went there for business during DRUPA Expo
My wallet was stolen with $2,000 Euros and they gave me a $600 value discount with free breakfast during 2 weeks. Made a huge difference to show that kind of understanding and there is no other place where I would rather stay when I return to Germany.

Memorable and comfortable stop for long journeys
This place is for fun-loving travellers who like a bit of quality and uniqueness. The American theme runs throughout the Check-In (Harley motorbike), Restaurant Menu and room decorations. Every room is themed, so it makes a good family or solo traveller (like me) option. A great way to end a long day and wake feeling refreshed for your onward journey.

An sich ist das Motel eine ideale und sehr ansprechende Übernachtungsmöglichkeit. Soweit so gut; was mich trotzdem abgeschreckt hat, war die mangelhafte Ausstattung mit Geschirr am Buffet etc. Täglich hat etwas Anderes gefehlt, Brotmesser, Brot war nicht mit Serviette versehen (Hygiene), kleine und große Löffel und Schüsseln fehlten, unsauberes Geschirr. Das überwiegend junge Personal war weitgehend mit dem Erfüllen eigener Bedürfnisse beschäftigt .Sie bedienten sich vom Buffet der Gäste, ist ein now go!!! und speisten mit im Restaurant. Andere Mitarbeiter(Lieferdienst) schnitten sich die Brötchen der Gäste am Buffet auf, belegten sie üppig und steckten diese anschließend in die Jackentaschen. Da fragt man sich, warum auch das Preis-Leistungs- Verhältnis sehr angespannt ist. Ich möchte nicht noch mehr Dinge beschreiben. Ich bin sehr enttäuscht und werde mir in Zukunft eine andere "Bleibe" suchen. P.S. ich bin zwar kein "Kontrollfreak", vielleicht sollte die Leitung des Motel seine Mitarbeiter doch gelegentlich kontrollieren. Und ein freundliches "Guten Morgen kommt sicher auch Jedem über die Lippen. (Wo sind wir nur hingeraten!)
