We stayed for the first time at Lucerna. Rooms were decent and amenities were ok. The staff is the reason why I would stay here again. They were welcoming, professional and very helpful. I have yet to have a staff treat me with so much attention at any other hotel. The pools are gorgeous and their piano bar is amazing. Very convenient location around other bars and restaurants.

Overall, liked the hotel. Did not try pool #2. Looked nice though. Pool towels a difficult to find. Room clean. Towels minimal. Italian restaurant food had little flavor, and certainly not Italian. Pizza Sauce has no flavor. Needs Italian spices. Cheese was not mozzarella, but tasted like mexican queso instead. Parmesan was not. Bread was lacking flavor as was their table bread. Find an Italian chef please. Breakfast buffet: Coffee good. Omelet was ok. Not clear if eggs were "real", odd flavor. Mostly Hispanic fare, but also a hint of International. Fruit was good. Honeydew was not fully ripe. Need to train staff in how to run a steam line as the foods are overheated, overcooked, and lacking flavor. Pancakes were hard on the edges from being in the steamer too long. (Cook needs to make fewer of them and make them more often if they are eaten). Syrup was cold. Staff friendly. Parking was available, though a bit odd to access. Cones placed in front of 'standing zones', so that one can not get out to check-in, was a rather odd thing to do.

False advertising in Expedia. This Hotel doesn’t have a pool! As we approached the property, there was a yellow caution tape as if someone was murdered. We drove all the way to the desert to e joy the pool & there was none. Staff was not accompanied at all nor did they offer any incentive. Do not book here
