I had a great time staying at Kukun. My unit was clean, newly renovated and modern. I had a small kitchenette where I brewed Kukun house coffee each morning. The bed was comfy and my shower was also great. I had no issues with hot water and the water pressure was very good. The rooftop has awesome 360 views of the city. I preferred it to the aibnbs and hotel where my friends stayed on the trip. I’d definitely stay there again.

Overall we liked the property. The apartment was nice, even though it was small. The only thing that surprised us was the absence of AC. We were offered two floor fans though, so the temperature was manageable.

Would recommend another hotel.
My fiancé and I were looking forward to staying at Casa Insurgentes for our week long getaway. When we checked into the hotel, we went to our room to find out that it was 90 F in the room. *This hotel does not have a/c. I contacted the front desk and told them that the room was too hot. They advised to open the windows and use the fans that were provided. Unfortunately the room never cooled down and there were no other rooms available. What was supposed to be a week long stay ended after one night. Hotel management is very difficult to communicate with. Please make sure that you’re fine with no air conditioning and that the room windows do not face the sun.

Nice place to stay, nothing fancy but nice. Be aware there is no AC in the property so temperatures can be very high in the rooms specially in the upper floors, which are the best. Otherwise fine.

Great stay, great location, would recommend.
Loved the room, location was great and it had everything that we could really want for a stay. Only two minor things, it wasn’t very clear how to obtain fresh towels during the stay (we made do as were only there for 4 days) and hot water takes quite a while to come through so I often just took cold showers cause I hate wasting so much water.

Everything you need and a great location!
Loves this property. The rooms are beautifully done and have everything you need for your stay in Mexico City. Loved the drinking water tap! The rooftop is amazing, great place to read with a coffee, and the views of the city from there are amazing! The location is also very convenient to get around both walking and with the metro bus. The hotel is right on insurgentes so the hotel provides you with earplugs just in case, but I didn’t even need them (I don’t mind the noise of traffic personally, which isn’t super loud beyond the window — we were on the 3rd floor so maybe that helped?). Will stay here again on my next trip to CDMX in June!

When first entered, the room number was incorrect , and took sometimes to reach out to the property owner to get the correct one. It’s nearby the street, so kinda noisy at night. If looking for clubs/ bars at night, it’s far away. The wifi is not working….

The stay was great. The hotel was charming and had everything needed for a comfortable nights rest. Perfectly located to get out and walk around to see all the neighborhood had to offer. I would recommend it for anyone looking to explore this part of Mexico City

They don’t generate invoices properly.
The stay was ok. But they pride to be business friendly however I asked for my invoice at the counter, their staff said I didn’t need to worry, and at the end of the month it seems they never generated my invoice. Plus, when I requested it, they told me I would need to wait until the next month for my invoice which I find ridiculous being the size of a company Kukun is that you don’t have a do it yourself invoice.
