An absolute must-stay if you're looking for a beautiful, comfortable and perfectly located spot in Coyoacán. Located on a sleepy street, the Chalet has a lovely atrium central garden, and has incredibly helpful and friendly staff. There's a reason I've returned to stay here three times!

THANK YOU FOR A GREAT STAY! Staff makes you feel like family. Hotel is intimate & you feel like you're staying with relatives. It is located in a quiet neighborhood. Doesn't look like a hotel from the outside. We were greeting by owner, very kind. Beware that you may have to climb stairs a few times to get to your room. But I would definitely stay here again. Everything was walking distance.
When I got there it felt as if I was coming home. They accommodated my room with an extra bed in the case my father who lives in Mexico D.F. wanted to stay. This was a result of a short conversation I had with Manuel, who owns Chalet del Carmen with his wife. Everyone is friendly and made me feel welcomed. Highly recommend staying here. The area is beautiful. Near restaurants and walking distance from the Frida Kahlo Museum. Overall, I love this place and will be back on my future visits to Mexico City.
Excellent place to stay. Very accommodating (and apologetic for the disturbance due to building maintenance). Beautiful small garden and patio. Very quiet.
I love this place, but I booked and paid for 2 rooms, for myself and a colleague, and they automatically gave the best room to the man, and I am the woman, so I got the tiny room. And yet I paid for both. This bothers me,
I enjoyed the interior courtyard a nice place to relax. There is also books available in the kitchen which I appreciated however the room was a bit small as was the bed (very hard with tiny pillows).
Nothing fancy but very clean with nice help, very clean room and bathroom. Nice inner courtyard for breakfast which is quite simple. This is a small hotel in a nice neighborhood. I had a headache and the desk clerk went to the store to get me some aspirin and bottled water. Really nice. Very sweet place.
If you are looking to explore Coyoacan, this place is in a great location. The room is in a house that looks like it has been converted into a hotel, so it has a nice homy feeling. The grounds outside are very nice. They also did a great job with cleaning out room every day. I would have given this place very high ratings if it weren't for the last night we spent there. It was Christmas Eve and the hosts had a party at the hotel, right outside of our window, in the patio. The party must have gone on until 3AM. We were getting up early the next day and couldn't afford not to sleep but were kept up by the noise from party. We felt this was disappointing and very unprofessional considering we were customers paying for a place to rest. I do recommend the place but you might want to avoid it over the holidays if you want a peaceful place to rest.

Basic place to sleep.
This was a basic boutique hotel with only minimal features. Hard bed with 2 tiny pillows (said they couldn't provide more). We had to navigate 2 flights of steps (up/down) to get to our room. "Breakfast" was a bowl of cold croissants and another bowl of uncut apples/oranges. Coffee maker, but we were asked to wash our cup and put it back when finished. Close to Coyoacan, which is its main asset.
