The check-in process was less than ideal. As Expedia VIP members, we were given a “room upgrade” to a suite upon arrival. However, the suite was located near rooms undergoing renovations, and the only window was covered with a piece of wood, presumably due to the construction.
We spoke with the front desk to request a different room and were moved to another suite on the top floor. Unfortunately, this room had its own issues—the A/C barely worked, there was no safe, and the door handle to the rooftop patio was broken, making it impossible to lock. Worse, the handle frequently fell off, creating a risk of being trapped outside with no way to get back in.
After a couple of hours of waiting, we were finally moved to a third suite, which was much better. We had no further issues, though the bed wasn’t very comfortable, and the room lacked a refrigerator.
