The property was in a convenient and quiet area, but hotel maintenance is terrible. The bed is very uncomfortable, we requested cleanings and they would only make the bed. Breakfast is not good or worth it. Just overall hotel is not worth the buck for what you get.

The place was beautiful and in a nice area, but it was located in a flood zone, which made parking very difficult. Most of the cars, including ours, had to park in large puddles of water, and we had to be careful just stepping in and out. Side street parking was limited and also affected by the flooding. It would’ve been much better if the hotel had its own parking lot. The front desk experience was underwhelming. The staff member who checked us in seemed distracted and not very welcoming—just gave basic info without any real hospitality. The room was clean and spacious, but poorly stocked with only one roll of toilet paper for several days. Housekeeping never came, even though we didn’t have a “Do Not Disturb” sign, and we had to request service after the fact. The included “continental breakfast” was disappointing—just a random, unorganized setup of food with no real structure or labels. It didn’t feel like a proper breakfast offering. Overall, it was a decent weekend getaway spot, maybe a 3-star experience. It served its purpose as a place to rest, but for the price and cleaning fees, it definitely could’ve been better.

The hotel was very nice and clean, only thing was I asked for more tissue and the pregnant staff told me only one per room, mind you I just got my period so I was annoyed with her because of that, but other that we was able to smoke in front of the hotel so that was great, the parking is somehow because once you get a spot you have to stay there or else you lose your spot so it’s pros and cons at this particular hotel.

The Secret Garden – Disappointing Experience Unfortunately, my stay at The Secret Garden was far from pleasant. From the moment I walked into my room, I noticed a musty, old smell, and the bathtub was visibly dirty. I ended up wiping everything down myself just to feel somewhat comfortable. There was a clear lack of staff during my stay. Despite requesting housekeeping service, no one ever came to clean my room as promised. The front desk staff, particularly one woman, was extremely rude, dismissive, and lacked basic customer service skills. She made me feel like a burden rather than a guest. I requested a hair dryer and was required to leave my ID in exchange—something I didn’t mind at first. However, when I returned the dryer, they couldn’t locate my ID and seemed completely disorganized. It took a while before the front desk could track it down due to poor communication among staff. The towels provided were stained, and when I requested fresh ones, I was told they didn’t have any available at the moment. When they finally did have some, I was met again with rudeness at the front desk. The hotel advertises amenities like a bar and breakfast, neither of which were available. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unsupported, which reflected heavily in the quality of service. The only positives were the room’s design, the TV, and the spacious layout—but unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for the poor service and lack of hospitality. If you're looking

This is a terrible hotel to stay in. My worst experience ever! Please see below for details. Highly recommend Expedia to take some action and for travelers to save money and avoid staying here at all cost. - This place starts with check in process, the front desk is not friendly, rude and is not welcoming at all! Asked to pay for the incidental charges and resort fee without telling any details and was charged without telling me what the details are. I asked for the receipt and the receptionist wouldn't provide any details. - The room does not have any basic needs like soap, shampoo, hand wash and no the towels have stains! - The bed is horrible and when you sit on the bed, it goes all the way down to frame without any cushion. - No room service even after telling the room was not in proper condition and did not had any basic needs and no towels! - Breakfast is horrible with some expired food like bread. The breakfast literally has 2 to 3 choices and not hygienic - Water leakage in room! Yes, the water was dripping from the ceiling throughout our stay and even complained the staff, manager. They promised to fix it and have the maintenance guys come take a look. But no one came and nothing was fixed. Basically they don't care. - Privacy: Absolute no privacy at all! The room has bed and bathroom without any doors (half curtain), the windows have no privacy and people can look into the room! We were family with kids and did not feel safe. We saw naked people in balcony.

The property itself is beautifully decorated, however it all stops there. Receptionist flatly refused to introduce herself upon arrival and would not give us her name and wore no name tag, turns out her name is Isabella and she is the most inhospitable hospitality employee I’ve ever met. Hairdryers need to be checked out, but when we asked her if we could do that, she basically told us it was impossible. The second person we asked only minutes later, told us yeah no problem, then reached into a drawer right next to where Isabella sat and pulled out a hairdryer. My jaw drops at how lazy Isabella was, but Keisha is a hero. The breakfast is hard, boiled eggs, and wonder bread. The butter is margarine, it’s not even real butter. The coffee is canned Maxwell House, and coming from Seattle that’s laughable. Our room had a plastic Kleenex box with no Kleenex box inside and with a bathroom sink was backed up the entire time and never fixed after we reported it and the only time we ever got new towels is when we asked for them, three times. Our bed was made only once and they didn’t even bother to finish the job of just to putting the fancy bed runner on the bottom to make it look nice, which would’ve taken about 10 seconds. Our sink was filthy and the sliding door to the bathroom had a plastic door track that was loose and caused a trip and fall hazard. We found a pubic hair on the bathroom floor and hair in the bathtub, indicating that it had not even been swept or scrubbed. Crazy.

The staff at this facility, with the exception of the person that checked us in, was impolite. They banged on the door at 8 am after they knew we arrived late. Then they would call early too, to remind if check out day and time. It felt like the pushed us to leave, The “breakfast”-that’s misleading. They would not refill things and if the staff that was supposed to work there was asked, he ignored us. They kept the milk container out, so it didn’t feel cold and I was worried if getting sick. One cereal only, and old, small Croissants. The location I thought would be at least good, but that was misleading too because you are not close to the beach, and anything worthwhile: Super loud, probably due to crime close to the hotel. So many staff was just unfriendly and nothing was done to make the place feel special. I don’t feel I can rx this place.

Miami’s weekend trip

The staff was very nice and helpful however I was not completely aware that the shower is located in the room rather than in a separate bathroom. I stayed here with a friend and we would need to leave the room whenever one of us needed to shower as the jacuzzi was converted to a shower. Breakfast was also very limited with only bread and hard boiled eggs offered. The staff however was really nice and attentive and the location is very convenient to the beach.

The property was clean and quiet. They offered a breakfast from 8 to 10, which is a nice offering, however, the first day a little after the 8 o’clock hour, nothing was set up but juice. The second day juices, coffee, breads and boiled eggs were set out. I just kind of expected more. Also, the first day my bed was made, but housekeeping failed to make it. Just little things that make a difference to me in my stay.
