First impression is that location is kind empty, dark and no people around. But just 1 or 2 blocks away it is alive with crowds and things to do. Highly recommend. The hotel itself is very very nice, the staff is nice too.

Tainted by the fact that we arrived day of the hurricane. One receptionist was very friendly and helpful whilst another was positively unhelpful. Plug surrounds in the room were broken and there was only one chair in the room. A little uncomfortable as breakfast was taken back in the room.

WOW my husband and I were blown away by what a gem this place was. Very cute decor, lovely front desk help, and the breakfast is amazing. I don’t know why people are whining about having to take your breakfast back to your room - shuffling down in my pj’s to grab breakfast then going back to eat in privacy was a bonus to us. The rooms are perfect - comfy big bed, nice tv, desk and chair, toiletries, a working blow dryer, fridge, microwave, clean bathroom, even in room snacks you can buy. This may sound like a silly list to be happy about but I’ve stayed at more expensive places (including another hotel in Miami while here) that didn’t have all of this or it was broken. Walking distance to the downtown area and bike rentals were great too. My only complaint and concern is that they charge you (not pre-authorize, actually charge) a damage deposit that they say will be refunded but it takes a while to get the refund, it’s been two weeks with no refund for me. The hotel replies to reviews telling people to check with their bank but they should really just move to pre-authorized deposits instead to avoid the confusion and complaints.
