The houseboats on the Mookerplas don't just enjoy a beautiful location but are also furnished in a very comfortable way; they are suitable for any time of the year. The entrance to the accommodation is from the jetty. You will immediately notice the large windows and the view that comes with it. There is a nice living space with an open-plan kitchen, two bedrooms (one with a bunk bed) and a modern bathroom. During beautiful days, the furnished roof terrace is of course the most wonderful place to be, offering an unobstructed view over the Mookerplas. Starting today, Marina Mookerplas features a 6-person Barrel Sauna with Dome for rent offering spectacular views of the Mookerplas. It can be booked all year round on an hourly basis by guests staying in the Houseboats. General info: The Mookerplas is a special place in the Netherlands. Not just because of its natural beauty but also because it seems to look differently every season. What appeals most to the imagination are of course the spring and summer, when from the first rays of sun, this recreational lake is a vibrant centre for everything related to water sports. Whether you're thinking of renting a sloop, kayak or SUP, going for a swim or fishing from your accommodation; it's all within reach. Besides the possibilities on the water, you can also enjoy this recreational lake from one of the walking or cycling routes. Along the way, you will come across beaches and various establishments where you can relax. Although autumn and winter may seem less suitable for a stay on the water, nothing could be further from the truth. Your houseboat is also very comfortable during this period and offers a wonderful, quiet base from which to explore the area. Possible sports activities are walking challenging routes in the nearby Mookerheide nature reserve or one of the highly regarded mountain bike routes. Moreover, the region is rich in culture and history, as evidenced by the enormous number of castles that you will find here. The most famous attraction is the oldest city of the Netherlands: Nijmegen. This beautiful, atmospheric city is only 15 km from your accommodation. A perfect destination for a visit during one or more days.
