Very disturbing and unpleasant experience

At first the hotel seemed top notch (from the exterior) the gentlemen at the reception was very kind. The pool was clean and hot. But then we entered in our room, it smelled like cigarettes mixed with weed it was unbearable because we don’t smoke we informed the front desk gentleman of the situation but said that there’s nothing that he could do not even put us in another room, we did not sleep a lot that night and woke up with a headache. it also looked like a murder took place in it. There was blood splatter on the door, the upper door lock was forced and the door was broken. There was also blood splatter on the sprinkler above said door, the bathroom door was broken in the bottom right corner like if someone tried to force it. The window screen was torn by something sharp. The toilet clogged with just 3 tissues and no plunger in sight. There also was no toilet brush so keep in mind that if you eat McDonald’s you won’t be able to clean the bowl. Electrical sockets were either hidden, broken or far from the bed so you’re best bet is to bring the 50 ft electrical extension you use for Christmas lights. The socket behind the bed was melted I don’t understand how it was not changed very dangerous. The furnitures were broken two drawers out of three would not open and the handles were dangling. The bath/shower was not clean. The bed was unclean never felt this bad sleeping had bed bug bites in the morning. So I would not recommend go to a quality inn or something else

Overall it was a good stay. Updated hotel. No couches or chairs in lobby. Very attentive breakfast attendant. Many choices for breakfast including waffle maker. We took off the do not disturb sign so our room could be cleaned and supplies replenished while we were out for the day. Much to our surprise the room was not cleaned when we returned in the evening and the response was “did you take your sign off ma’am?” I replied yes we did specifically so that the room could be cleaned. The receptionist checked the book and it was checked off that our sign was still up! What?!!! Long story short they brought us dry towels, soap and shampoo. Very tiny and thin soap. Disintegrates very quickly. This is our third time staying at this hotel. Very convenient and friendly staff. For the price you pay it is worth it! Also has an outdoor pool!

Exterior door locks were broken off and were even propped open, so any stranger could just walk into the building at all hours, and it let all the AC out. Guests were smoking in the hotel and our room even smelled like stale smoke that no one even bothered to try to hide. Someone puked in the hallway and it was never cleaned, only masked with scented spray. I went to Walmart and drenched all of the bed linens and shower curtain with heavy duty odor control Febreze and "fumigated" the room with Lysol air sanitizer just to make it bearable to sleep - yes, the smell kept waking me, irritated my throat, and gave my roommate a massive headache until we freshened it up. The toilet paper holder was broken off so we had nowhere to hang TP. They only gave us two bath towels to last four days, no hand towel for the sink, and they were stingy with giving extra trash bags for the room. There were no chairs, night stands, lamps, clock, or phone in the room. A broken TV stand, a surprisingly clean microwave, and an unlevel frig were the only furniture available. There wasn't even a stand or spare table to place your luggage!
