Usually a great stay, not so lucky this time.
I’ve stayed at this hotel before which is why I chose it again & took my family with me. Usually I inspect the bed prior to getting in, but after a 6 hour drive, we showered & went right to bed. I started seeing something moving out of the side of my eye while browsing on my phone. EVERYTIME I would turn on the flashlight or the room lamp, I saw a bug crawling. Google says it’s bed bugs!! Everyone was knocked out, I killed about 5 after inspecting my entire bed & mattress. My nephew was bit & said he was itchy & he was on the other bed so it wasn’t contained to just one bed. None of our luggage was out on the bed, mine was kept on a table the whole time. After inspecting in the morning, found no traces but that doesn’t mean there weren’t any eggs. Maybe the sheets weren’t washed in hot water prior to distributing & that’s how they were transferred from previous guest with bugs? The mattress looked clean & there were no visible critters on it or the wood headboard. I woke up with 5 bites on my arm ( I sleep with my arm near my face) after the 2nd night there & about 6 more on my face & neck the day after that-Google says it could take days for visible welts from bites so it makes sense. I had to deep clean my car once home & my clothes & other belongings are still isolated days later after running through hot cycles just in case.

We paid for a “deluxe suite”. We had been on the road for two weeks. This was our last overnight stay and it was my husband’s birthday. Our supposed deluxe suite was located across from the indoor pool and right next to the laundry room. The doors were very loud when being shut. Both the pool and laundry room closed at 10 pm. We dealt with the noise. But…the laundry room continued to be used. The door was loud and the laundry equipment was on an adjoining room with our bed. My husband complained twice to no avail. When we checked out in the morning we asked for the manager. She said it was being used by workers who live there. No excuse. She said she couldn’t do anything for us because I booked the room online. This is an unacceptable response and a lousy location for an expensive room. We will never stay there again. And the breakfast was horrible. Cold clumped scrambled eggs. Paper thin “bacon stuff”. Coffee maker in the room didn’t work.

My wife and I really appreciated the clean facilities and room. The bed was comfortable and staff was friendly. Our only complaint was the noise above us on the third floor. We could hear continuous stomping around at all hours of the night. It sounded like the people were just running back and forth constantly! It brought back PTSD from old apartment days! Other than that, we were pleased with our stay.
