My family and I stayed in three Standard Double Rooms in October 2024. Unfortunately, none of the rooms had air conditioning, nor was there an option to turn on the fan. The temperature for two of the rooms stayed at 24.5°C, while one room reached 27.5°C. We asked the front desk if they could turn on the AC, but they informed us that city regulations prevent air conditioning during this time of year. The staff mentioned that the heater was inadvertently on in the room set to 27.5°C and offered to turn it off. However, this didn’t resolve the issue, and the temperature remained the same. We had to keep the window open to cool the room down, but this created new concerns. Our room was on the main floor next to an entrance door, and the window lacked any safety bars—anyone could have easily climbed in. We found it challenging to sleep due to the lack of security, the frequent noise from people coming in and out, and the smell of smoke from guests and staff taking breaks nearby. Overall, the lack of temperature control and the safety concerns made for an uncomfortable experience.

Our stay at Spice Hotel was short and sweet and I was happy it was that way. We were only here for one night and we could not wait to leave. The moment we walked into our hotel room, it was 28.2 degrees. They didn’t mention it to us at the reception that the Air Conditioning was turned off for the season - I had to read it from a previous review. We were on the ground floor which meant we had to keep our window open for some fresh air - but it was extremely easy for someone to 1) look into our room and 2) basically climb into our room. Staff was not very friendly. The bed was extremely hard and only gave us one pillow each. The shower curtain makes absolutely no sense as all the water just comes out. The sink was very leaky all night and the TV never got any proper connection and was always lagging. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. There’s other hotels around the area that are much more safer and don’t make you feel like you need to be on your guard all night.

Hotel is great but as soon as you step out at night you feel like you will get robbed. This feeling is only at night. During the day it is fine and feels safe. Room was great as well.

The hotel said the air-conditioning was turned off for the season so the room was extremely warm so we had to sleep with the door open to the balcony, which was, terribly loud and noisy all night . Not safe
My stay at your hotel was extremely disappointing and raised serious concerns about safety and privacy. We were given a room on the ground floor, very close to the reception area, which was unbearably noisy. We could hear constant noise from the reception and traffic from the street, making it impossible to relax. To make matters worse, due to an error by the receptionist, another guest was given access to our room and actually walked in while we were inside. This is a major breach of security. As if that wasn't enough, at 9 AM, the cleaning staff opened our door while we were still sleeping, without any warning or knocking. It was deeply unsettling to realize that anyone could enter our room at any time. I’ve never felt so unsafe in a hotel before, and I cannot recommend this experience to anyone.

Lots of room for improvement. The shower is too slippery and also the curtain doesn’t cover the water spill into the floor The bedroom has one pillow per guess. It’s always nicer to have 2 pillows per guess. The tv guide channels are not as entertaining. You could add more international channels. The staff at the front desk can be a little nicer. One in particular was not so welcoming. Also make sure you have a door sign (do not disturb’ We don’t like people coming into our room without notice.

It had a industrial decor was very modern.The room was tiny but I managed.There is no coffee /tea making facilities or room service for food.During the day I felt safe enoyas there are lots of people around although groups of migrants behaving in an antisocial manner.Great for transport close by.
