Cozy Mountain Cabin Centrally Located in the High Country

The property is located in the small mountain community of Mill Ridge in Foscoe NC. The house has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a small kitchen and open-concept family room + dining area. Outside there is a covered wrap-around deck with rocking chairs, sitting area and a grill. There is also parking available for up to 3 vehicles, with easy access to the house. The Mill Ridge community ammenities include hiking trails, a beautiful outdoor pool and 2 small ponds.

Please be respectful of check-in and check-out times. If there are not renters checking-out and checking-in on the same day we are happy to allow a late check-out or early check-in.

The master bedroom is on the 1st floor with a queen bed, full bath (double sinks), ceiling fan and a small flat screen TV. The kitchen is also on the 1st floor, fully stocked with dishes, silverware, pots/pans, coffee maker, blender and more. The family room has a flat screen TV with cable/wifi, wireless internet, a propane wood stove and a ceiling fan. Upstairs is the 2nd bedroom with a queen bed and ceiling fan. There is a full bath (double sinks) in the hallway. The 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds and a half bath.

The property is centrally located in the High Country: 10 miles to downtown Boone/Appalachain State University, 9 miles to downtown Banner Elk, and 10 miles to Blowing Rock. In addition, we are 6 miles from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, 15 miles from Beech Mountain, 11 miles from Appalachian Mountain Ski Resort, 14 miles from Grandfather Mountain, 20 miles to Linville Falls and close to multiple access points for the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Sisters trip !
We loved our stay to go see Land of Oz! Great location, easy to get to in a great location. Very clean and exactly like it was pictured. I will stay again! Only suggestion is a fire table out on the open deck would be great if allowed .

Pre Surgery Get Away
My family and I wanted a quick get away to take our minds off my impending surgery. Over all the place was very quaint, and clean, but parking is better for smaller cars. I had a little trouble with my big SUV but that was mostly my fault. It was a great trip and just what was needed.

We loved the well-appointed cabin and found it to be peaceful and relaxing. The cabin was located in a great place for some quiet, but a short drive from all of the activities we wanted to do. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

Cabin was just as expected and in the perfect location. Turn right and go to Boone or Blowing Rock. Turn left and go to Sugar Mountain. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to stay again!

Adorable cabin had comfortable beds and couch/chair, and was an easy location to both Boone and Sugar mountain. Loved the jetted tub! Stayed here before and it was just as clean and well maintained. Very affordable for three bedrooms.

A PERFECT COZY CABIN
This beautiful cabin has everything you need for a perfect getaway! Large enough to spread out and relax, yet comfy and cozy enough to enjoy friends and family! We adored the galley kitchen, large bedrooms and perfect bathrooms. The gas wood stove was so easy to work and it warmed our living area right up! (The high was 11 that day)! Never had so much fun! We will book it again! It is just beautiful and perfect for a relaxing get away! IT IS FABULOUS!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Mill Ridge cabin. It was cozy, but enough space for our family of 5 to be comfortable. We enjoyed the comfortable living room and gas logs. Great location between Boone and Banner Elk. Just a couple of minutes away from the Grandfather Vineyard & Winery, which was also a plus!

This was a major disappointment from beginning to end. The property is very, very small. You can't walk anywhere without the floor squeaking. It looks clean at first glance, but it's not. My son woke up with itchy bumps on his arm after the first night. The bites looked like bed bug bites which was very alarming. Upon further inspection, we think it was an allergic reaction to a carpet beetle found on the bed frame where he slept. The worst part was that an exterminator couldn't get there for two days, which made it impossible to stay. We had to find another place to stay late in the afternoon of our first full day. The owner originally said she would refund us but decided she couldn't. This made it impossible for VRBO to help us find another place. We left as quickly as we could. We treated all our things as if there were bed bugs and found a new place to stay. We are still waiting to see if we will be refunded. It was a nightmare we are still living as my son's arm is still recoverong.
