IDEAL CENTRAL LOCATION: We're midway between Mill Valley downtown (1/2 mile walk); trails to Mt. Tam (3/4 mile, Cascade Falls (1.4 miles); Muir Woods (4 miles); Golden Gate Bridge/San Francisco (8 miles); Muir Beach (6.6 miles) & Napa wine country (probably 100 wineries within an hour of us).

SECLUDED: On a one-acre property surrounded by redwoods

The space
This is the guest house on our 1+ acre estate. Once you enter the unit, the kitchen is on your right and the living room is on your left. Behind the living room is the middle bedroom. After that there is a bathroom and finally the primary bedroom is in the back. Note that it is a slightly strange layout in that the middle bedroom lies between the main living area and the primary bedroom. So it’s probably best to have the earliest riser sleep in the middle bedroom.
The living room features a sleeper sofa that makes into a queen bed, a (natural gas) wood stove and a flat panel TV. A second TV is in the primary bedroom.
Off the living room is a deck complete with seating area and bbq.
There is a hot tub and a washer & dryer.

The kitchen is small but complete (dishwasher, Keurig, etc). We provide K-cups and complimentary chocolate and a bottle of wine (or sparkling cider if you prefer).
The dining room table has four chairs (two more are available) and the granite bar has two barstools.
The cottage has three steps at the entrance. Otherwise, it is a single story unit with no stairs.
The climate: Being so near to the ocean, Mill Valley tends to stay cool. We normally just open windows to adjust the temperature. But for those that need it, there is a window A/C unit in the primary living space.

PEACEFUL SECLUSION IN NATURE: Nestled on a little over an acre so there are no close neighbors. There are dozens of redwoods & a seasonal creek on the property. Deer come by daily. No worries about parking as we have our own off-street parking (two tandem spaces are provided for the cottage).

PARTIAL REMODEL FINISHED 5/25/22: New paint throughout, ten new light fixtures, all new linens, several new appliances, new rear deck, new curtains, five new blinds, new hot tub cover, new glassware and more.

TESLA CHARGER: Tesla charger available upon request (you must let us know before arrival).

HIGH SPEED 1 Gig FIBER WIFI. Both TVs are set up to stream Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Apple & HBO (subject to change).

ONSITE ASSISTANCE: Owners are on site in the main house. We are here to assist you & interact w/ you if you desire. Conversely, we respect your privacy & are happy to leave you alone if you desire.

Hosts and cleaning staff are fully vaccinated & boosted.

Well behaved dog welcome! (You must let us know in advance).

In order to accommodate our guests that have allergies, this is a no smoking unit.

Parking can be tough to find on most residential streets in Mill Valley. Fortunately, you have your own 2 tandem private parking spaces in our driveway immediately in front of the house. From the house it is only a 1/2 mile walk or 1 mile drive to downtown Mill Valley. Mill Valley was ranked #4 in best small towns in America by Smithsonian Magazine. Easily walk to dozens of shops, restaurants, live entertainment, movie theater, redwood groves and more.

Host has been a trail runner for 30 years and can provide information on Mt. Tamalpais and the Dipsea trail.

Streaming services provided include: Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney+, Paramount, HBO Max and ESPN+.

VRBO 's system does not have an option for same day reservations. If you need a same day reservation, please make an inquiry for the following day and I can manually set it up for same day arrival.

As with all rentals, trip cancellation insurance is recommended to protect you from the unexpected.
