Overall, our hotel stay met expectations. Highly recommended for others. One item that I’d like to mention as a takeaway for Holiday Inn corporate staff that are responsible for architectural & engineering design & construction of Holiday Inn X-press hotels: sounds from upper rooms reverberate to immediate floor/room below. Any heavy walking, running, or moving around of heavy items on upper floors can be clearly heard in the rooms directly below, just like a mid-century split-level residential home. Given a commercial facility and establishment like this, especially one that focuses on ensuring the comfort of guests and a quiet stay, it’s very disappointing to know that Holiday Inn would design a hotel facility this way. Looks like the result of architectural and engineering design methods that specify cheaper construction materials to save costs. The real
loser here are guests on bottom floors. First time I’ve ever stayed in any hotel and have been able to clearly hear heavy walking or running in the above floor room.
