Decent hotel for a short stay
Stayed overnight following a works Christmas party. Check-in was at at the bar, which was different, however there were no signs to tell you this (not that I could see anyway). Complimentary cocktail for all guests was a nice gesture though. The upbeat lift music made a nice change as well. The room was clean and the bed comfy (which is the main thing), although I found the towels to be a bit hard/abrasive and also the shower floor was very slippery. As a side note, I also noticed the time showing on the TV was a 24hr clock with am/pm e.g. 17:52pm (you do not need am/pm with a 24hr clock!!) Not a major issue obviously, but these things annoy me. The room also had a kettle and tea & coffee. The hotel itself was not too noisy, as some can be and I found the staff to be very friendly. All in all, it did me fine for a one-night stop.

The best at great price
Check out at 12 excellent! Welcome drink on arrival, nothing special but a nice touch. The staff were friendly warm and welcoming, especially bar staffs. Decor is trendily, quirky and fun, and stylish. Room was comfortable, bed very comfy plugs sockets in the right places, and a smart tv. Great location. Will certainly stay again.

Sound-proofing is non-existent. From the moment of check-in, a barrage of thudding, banging and a child running around. Had requested a quiet room on a high floor. This was ignored. Relieved to leave. Also, they seem to have signed me up to Marriott Bonvoy Rewards without my knowledge. If they think signing the guest registration form is consent, they are mistaken.
