I’ve never stayed at an La Quinta Inn, this property was nice, however the esthetics mainly the color of the Inn which is distinct on all their properties is meh. This is not a reason not to stay since the value was reasonable.

Very cost friendly hotel in safe area
I stayed for a couple of nights. The first room I was put in was clean but it was missing a remote and a shower curtain. I asked to move to another room the next morning due to noisy neighbors and missing items in room and staff member Jonathan A. was very helpful and very accommodating. I could tell he cared and felt really bad so he moved me to a room on a quiet floor and this second room was also very clean and very quiet throughout my whole trip. The hotel can definitely be noisy but that's nothing the staff can really do about it. I recommend speaking up and asking to get put on a quieter floor. The grounds needs some work, it doesn't look too great. But, the hotel is in a very safe area so I never felt in danger. It is also near bus stops so it is easy to get around the area and Minneapolis. Only thing that was disappointing was the breakfast spread. I've stayed at many LaQuintas over the years and the breakfast options and quality has definitely dropped. I was satisfied enough, they have enough options to get you through till lunch but it definitely could improve. The pool area was also a little disappointing, it didn't look too clean. Overall, it was pretty perfect for me. I just needed a safe, clean location with breakfast. And a cost friendly hotel which I definitely got. It was very cheap to stay here and for my money's worth it was definitely worth it. I will recommend this hotel to other people.

Watch out for Potholes!
First time staying here - older hotel and did show signs of wear. Couch had some really suspicious staining and the chair was comfortable but pretty worn on the arms. The bed though was super comfortable! And the sheets were wonderfully soft! Couple of things to keep in mind - this is right next to 494 which is under construction so even though we were 14 floors up it was still noisy. (Wonder if the other side is quieter?) Also careful in the parking lot - Holy hell we about lost our vehicle in the pot holes (that are EVERYWHERE) and almost twisted an ankle on one. The breakfast - while I didn't attempt to eat it - not a breakfast person. Family said "sausage patties were way over cooked, coffee was horrible, and the selection was meh at best." (Ended up getting breakfast elsewhere.) The hotel does allow pets (something we were unaware of, but good to know for future trips - if we decided to travel with ours).

The entire parking area for customers has huge deep holes causing front end damage to my vehicle . This issue has been like this for years and my last trip was the worst I’ve ever seen. The parking lot and entrance needs major asphalt repairs

Poor breakfast food such as no fruits like bananas, oranges, apples provided, as well as no other flavoured teas like mint or chamomile, no cream cheese, no yogurt. Eggs were too SALTY!!!!!. Should be no salt on them !!!!!!Very disappointing!!!!! Pool was very dirty!!!!! Especially its window glasses no hot tub. Prices should be lower than usual. Rooms were excellent and clean.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It would of been nice to be notified the there was no Hot tub when that was listed on the website. The pool area seemed dirty and like a dungen. It did look like there were repairs being made.

This place is very dirty. The cleaners tried barging in on us at 8:45 AM. We told them to come back later and put a tag on the door, but they never came back to refresh shampoo, etc. Dog vomit in the halls. Windows haven't been cleaned in years, wish I could attach photos. The breakfast room is not cleaned until after breakfast is over. It is a large hotel with hundreds of guests and there was syrup on the floor, scrambled eggs all over the counter, trash overflowing. None of the tables were wiped down between guests so all the tables were dirty. People bring their dogs into breakfast area, even though they are not supposed to, and the staff does not stop them or say anything. It's gross, do not stay here!

I found a SPY CAMERA over the hotel bed. I told the front desk about the spy cam and they shrugged and said "the hotel didn't put it there." I asked for the manager, but was informed that they don't have a manager on duty, he's only there sometimes. I asked them to have the manager call me. He never did. They offered NO HELP whatsover, did not apologize, and did not try to make it right. I said I was going to file a police report and I did. The front desk worker seemed annoyed when the police asked him to accompany them to the room. The police asked if the wifi connection was slow and the front desk guy said they were working with the provider for over a month but hadn't been able to fix the problem. The policeman said "If you had 30 cameras in this hotel that are all streaming video out continuously that can use up your bandwidth." Also the wifi is unsecured and requires no room number authentication or anything, which means spyers use the hotel's own internet to stream the cameras since they don't need to log in. The police told them they needed to change their policy because it was unsafe, but it's not clear the hotel will do anything. Also, in retrospect it wasn't hidden well, so why didn't the cleaners spot this? If that wasn't enough, this place is very dirty. It's pet-friendly and there was dog vomit on the hallway carpet. Dogs in the breakfast room. (there is a sign asking for no pets in the breakfast room, but staff did nothing when people brought them

Cheap stay...I slept and left.
Its cheap...or was the night we stayed. Like $101.86 all in. Big parking lot which is nice. Its an old building. Our room had a stain and sticky spot on the floor, and one of the pillow cases had a stain, so yea, not cool. One of the bath towels smelled ..not clean? I immediately made it the floor towel, I was not taking any chances. The girl who checked us in wasnt rude and wasnt polite..she was there. They charge your card $100 bucks then called later to say they lost my card info and needed it to refund the money...Im guessing thats just a way to hold on to the money a little longer from the people who take awhile to call back. Breakfast seemed fine but is only till 9am. Place was pretty full for wednesday probably because of the low cost. Road construction makes getting around this area a pain in the ass. I'll probably skip this place on our next visit but if you need a cheap place for the night go for it, Ive stayed in worse hotels.

My one request at reserving a room was a refrigerator with freezer space, and we were given a room with a non-functioning refrigerator. Multiple requests got no results.
