Welcome to Croix Hollow. This custom built cedar home is nestled on 12 acres in the Saint Croix River Valley. It features a soaring great room with a wall of windows, updated kitchen with quartz countertops, 3 gas fireplaces, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, sauna, lower level bar, and theater room!

This home was recently renovated and is new to the rental market as of February, 2022. It is located halfway between historic Stillwater and Taylor's Falls. Wander through the Franconia Sculpture Garden, have a wine tasting at Rustic Roots Winery, or take a drive on the St. Croix River Scenic Byway.

Whether you are looking for a couple's escape, a family getaway, or a girls weekend you will have plenty of room to relax and unwind.

The soaring two and a half story great room on the main level is the perfect place to gather. It features a gas fireplace with two walls of windows, with a wooded view. Here you can access the large wraparound deck with lots of seating!

The main level also features a newly remodeled kitchen with quartz countertops, hickory cabinets, Subzero fridge, and eat-in area. The formal dining room is next to the kitchen, with seating for 8.

Rounding out the main floor is a bedroom with desk and attached jack and jill full bath, as well as a brand new front loading washer & dryer in the main floor mudroom - available for you to use during your stay.

The primary bedroom occupies the second floor of the home. It features a gas fireplace (double sided to both bedroom & bathroom), private balcony, primary bathroom with double vanity, huge jetted tub, and stand alone shower.

The walkout lower level is filled with light, and the perfect place for spotting wildlife! Downstairs you will find the theater room, along with a large entertaining area with bar, and plenty of seating. There are also two bedrooms - one bedroom with attached bath & 4 person sauna, and the bunk room.

Our linens & towels are 100% cotton, and we do our best to use scent-free detergents and cleaning products.

The newly remodeled theater room features a 75" HDTV with streaming services, Sonos surround sound and large, cozy sectional sofa.

There is a large wraparound deck off of the great room, which features a 3 burner gas grill, outdoor sectional, loveseat, chairs, and an outdoor dining table that seats 12.

Off to the left side of the house you will find a fire pit with Adirondack chairs and lots of room to roam.

Staying in the winter? We've got several sets of snowshoes available for exploring the property.

No, we cannot host actual Weddings on the property.

Do you charge a cleaning fee?
Yes, unfortunately we have to charge the dreaded cleaning fee. This is a large house which takes hours to clean in between guests. In return, we only ask that you put your garbage in the garage, and dirty dishes into the dishwasher. No need to strip beds or anything like that, the house will be cleaned from top to bottom after your departure.

Is there enough parking for 12 guests?
Yes! We have a long country driveway, as well as 2 car garage with paved turnaround / extra parking area.

Great Staycation Getaway from the Twin Cities

The Perfect Bachelorette Party

This place is absolutely stunning, especially over a fall weekend! My friends and I could not get over the perfection that this place is. From the layout of the house, to the beautiful deck to overlook the fall colors, to the space to park vehicles and go on a beautiful fall walk. This place has it all. Erin is a phenomenal host that made sure we had everything we needed and was available for all questions. I loved having my bachelorette party here!

Gorgeous Views & Amazing Property

This place is amazing!! Everything was very cozy and comfortable! Loved the movie room and view from the main living room. We loved being able to airplay music throughout the house. Owner was very responsive, friendly and communicative. Kitchen was stocked nicely and light switches labeled which was a wonderful perk you don’t get sometimes at other rentals. Would definitely stay there again!

Great Stay

My friends and I stayed at this cabin for my bachelorette weekend. It was beyond perfect in every way. The host, Erin, was responsive and friendly. The check-in process was very easy. There was a house manual that explained the house and how everything works, which was helpful! There were little details in the cabin that made the stay even better. One of the favorite rooms of ours was the theater room. So many movies to choose from and a couch to fit everyone. The one thing we were worried about when we got there is the rules said no clear tape to put things on the wall. Erin was fully prepared and had some that was available to use! Our stay was great and we would book again in the future.

Lovely home, great privacy

Our family of 6 stayed for 3 nights with my parents, we were in town for my sister's wedding. There was plenty of privacy for everyone when we needed it. The kitchen was well equipped, other than a few dish cloths for washing dishes, wiping down counters, but we made it work. It would be great if all the bathrooms had washcloths and an extra hand towel. We found extras, however. We enjoyed walking the property and the sauna was fantastic. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. We had a lovely stay and would stay here again! Thank you.

Family Christmas getaway

Had our extended family Christmas getaway at the house and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the house and all it had to offer. Selection of board games, cards, puzzles were available to keep busy with and great views outside throughout the entire house. Owners were fantastic and quick to respond to our questions. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a place to getaway for the weekend or a full week vacation spot near Stillwater!

Absolutely wonderful stay! Would 110% recommend

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property! We were a family of five traveling from California during the Christmas holiday right before storm Elliot hit. Not being native to the area, we weren't sure how we were going to get groceries, and Erin absolutely saved the day! We were able to order Instacart and I coordinated with her to be there to accept the order. The roads were pretty treacherous when we arrived so I'm really glad that she was able to help us out, she was incredible and went above and beyond! We also lost power as a result of the storm several times during our stay but she was always in contact with us to make sure that we were okay and to let us know what the status of the power being turned back on was. The house itself was immaculate and had everything that we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and there were plenty of towels for everybody. We enjoyed playing the board games, putting a puzzle together, playing billiards, enjoyed the theater room, and all of the snow! We were even able to build a snowman! The heated floors were amazing and we were comfortable even in -20 weather. I would highly recommend staying here If you're in the area! Thanks so much to Erin for making this an incredible experience for us!

Had a Friendsgiving weekend getaway here and was spacious enough for 9 of us to stay overnight and 11 of us to all eat together. The place was very cozy and lots of places to hangout. The deck outside was super nice and would have loved to come see it in the summer.

Eight Pipers

We were a group of eight women gathering for a 59 year college reunion. We found the property everything we expected with more amenities than we expected. We loved hiking on the winding road, well shaded and with almost no traffic. We also loved gathering in the comfortable furniture on the deck in the evening for beverages and much laughter. The deck is high off the ground, so there were NO bugs! We never had to use insect repellent! We would return to this VRBO without hesitation.

Beautiful home and relaxing stay

Beautiful home! Very clean and well appointed. We especially enjoyed the view of the surrounding trees through the giant windows, the fireplaces, the sauna and all of the thoughtful amenities. It was one of our most relaxing vacations. Highly recommend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
