We stayed at 23A2, VRBO condo rental April 9th to 16th with Utah Escapes LLC.
We appreciated a very clean, seemingly spotless VRBO rental though we suspect much of this was due to the first-time use of many condo items but still, it was nice to experience very clean kitchen cutlery, cups, bowls, plates and very new, thick towels for the bathrooms.
We noticed very quickly that this rental had no window screens so when opening windows to enjoy the cooler day and night temps, a lot of red sand and dust would blow through and accumulate on the floor and many other surfaces. We did attempt to vacuum these areas but this did little to prevent more sand from blowing in. So, the caveat is that the surrounding grounds is 90% red dirt and dust with little to no landscaping. This was understandable to us because we observed quite a bit of condo/townhouse building planned around this rental unit which also led to extra truck traffic, dump trucks and dust. We also experienced that the condo next door to ours was being furnished and heard banging and drilling one night until midnight. Not good, but this only happened one night and we were able to voice our concern with the next-door furnishing crew who were very respectful and friendly and willing to help with this issue.
However, with little to no landscaping around our VRBO rental, people would ride their dirt bikes just outside our VRBO front porch which was very disruptive with noise pollution and extra dust and dirt in the air. This would often occur in the evening when we were back in the condo from a long day of hiking. So, I’d be on the lookout for speedy, off-road vehicles that could potentially be dangerous for condo renters and also disturb any quiet time.
We needed AC for the first few days of our stay, and surprisingly we didn’t realize it was not fully turned on until our 3rd day at the condo. Other than stuffy upstairs bedrooms with the lack of AC, we spent much our day hiking and visiting national parks. I finally checked the breaker box and figured out that the AC was not switched on. Thank you Jeff for the communication in this situation.
We missed end tables in the bedrooms where clearly the two end tables for one bed were split with the 2nd bedroom. So as comfortable as the king size beds were, one person had no end table for their night stuff.
The traffic noise level from truck and car traffic was especially loud most hours of the day & night.
