Pack Creek ~ Farm House | 3 Bed, 1.5 Bath

The Farm House is located just south of Moab Utah, in the foothills of the LaSal Mountains. The house is part of the larger historic cattle and later dude ranch that existed before the turn of the 19th century. The Farm House sits on the site of the original homestead for the entire 600 acre ranch; although later replaced with the current building, the original Homestead was constructed of logs from local Cottonwood Trees and remnants of its root cellar are still visible next to the house. The location of the cabin allows for guests to take a break from the traffic and large crowds that are becoming all too common during peak seasons. Along with a break from the crowds, you can also take a respite from the heat with the mountain breeze and improved temperatures at this higher elevation.

*We recently added a Level II EV charger for our guests. It is located on the cabin, and is dedicated to Farm House guest use.*

This cabin is located in the historic Pack Creek Valley, which serves as an excellent base camp for all your outdoor activities in the region. Being south of Moab, this opens up access to Southwest Utah (Arches, Canyonlands, Hovenweep, Mesa Verde, Canyons of the Ancients). Once back from your activities, Farm House offers peace and quiet on a 15 acre ranch equipped with lovely amenities such as a community spa (hot tub and sauna) and a seasonal swimming pool (Memorial Day until Labor Day but subject to change). The surrounding lawn invites al fresco meals on the outdoor table and chairs, lounging, and is large enough to accommodate outdoor games. Stunning views can be seen from the sliding glass door and front porch. Enjoy the local wildlife as deer, wild turkeys and rabbits are frequent visitors. A barn on the property houses a small herd of goats with babies born each spring. The valley enjoys an excellent dark sky environment, so make sure to step outside at night to take in the stars as you’ve never seen them before. Enjoy preparing meals in the large, well equipped kitchen that overlooks an apple orchard and red rock. Sit at the dining room table while enjoying views of the La Sal mountains. Many custom features such as intricate tile, custom wood work, and oak cabinets adorned with hammered tin art fronts adorn the cabin throughout. Large windows and plenty of natural light bring the outdoors to you in each room. The cozy living room contains a classic fireplace, with a gorgeous cast iron insert that can heat the house in the coldest days of winter. Cool mountain breezes, ceiling fans in each room and in-wall air conditioners keep the house cool on hot summer days. Nestled into the foothills of the La Sal Mountains, the temperature at the ranch is typically cooler than Moab.

Trailer parking is available on the premises in a dedicated area.

We have family pets as well, but want to also provide a best experience for all our guests; therefore we do not allow pets in the Farm House. Please inquire about other pet-friendly options we offer.

Cancellations will result in a minimum $45 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival carry up to a 50% cancellation fee, and cancellations within 2 days of arrival carry up to a 100% cancellation fee.

Fantastic Farm House Stay
Pack Creek Ranch has multiple cabins, we stayed in Farm House. It was cozy and clean with a great kitchen and big comfy beds. The kids loved playing in the yards and on the two rope swings. Only gripes were that the water pressure was low -- not surprising given the elevation -- and a smoke detector chirped every once in a while. Plenty of firewood stacked against the cabin's north wall; bring a hatchet to split kindling! The Farm House was well-stocked with books (I hadn't read any Ed Abbey since college!) and a big bin of board games and wiffle balls/bats. Definitely thinking about Pack Creek Ranch for a larger group retreat in the future!

Private and Spacious, close to Arches and Canyonlands
Great location, just south of the center of the town of Moab, close to Arches, Canyonlands, and other great adventure locations. Stayed for 3 nights and will definitely stay here again next time we come out this way. Private 3 bedroom house, full stocked kitchen, living room and a gas grill on the private porch. We had dinners in and ate out one night, there are a number of good restaurants in town. The jetted tube was a welcome after a long day of hiking at Arches and a long day of white water rafting. The half bath was a bonus (didn't need to rush the tub!). If your spending a few days in the Moab area for Arches, Canyonlands or other adventures in the higher, I highly recommend this place. Our family loved this place as our "base o operations" and would stay here again, and for more days.

Quiet, beautiful surroundings, historic setting
The property was perfect for our family of five. Rooms were comfortable, kitchen had all of the essentials, nice living room area and open concept. Great to have two bathrooms. Loved the serene setting that was away from the city, with beautiful views. Loved the history of this ranch.

Very nice house, nice open property. A little off the beaten path
Everything was great except the silverware had a white coating on it. Maybe soap? Not sure who would think it was clean and put it in the drawer. Had to rewash all silverware we used. Other than that everything was great

Parts great, some problems
This is a beautiful property, and mostly comfortable. It's a little further from town than I expected, so a lot of driving. The beds and pillows need some attention, and the couch is falling in. The advertised pool was empty ( very disappointing to the young people in the group), and the hot tub so hot as to be unusable. There is no manager on site, and evidently multiple management groups for the different cabins. With a little attention, the could be a top notch spot.

Weekend vacation
Rental was okay , room were good , property was nice away from the heat , unfortunately after communicating with the manger about the pool working and them communicating that it was going to be running . And getting here and it begin completely empty this was really upsetting due to this was one of the main reason why I choose this place .

Beautiful location.
If the neighbor had not helped us, we would not have found the key. Beds are all very BAD. I had to keep washing towels as we used the hot tub and that just takes more towels. The step gettin in through the sliding glass door is dangerous. A new one is desperately needed. Very difficult for a semi handicapped person to use. The kitchen has plenty of pots and pans. Some of the dishes are in tough shape and need to be tossed. No coffee to get us started. That would be nice. We paid over $400.00 per night and we loved the location. Better beds are definitely needed.

Beautiful property and location. House was clean and a very well equipped kitchen. Only "complaint" was there was no coffee provided, so bring your own if you want it. Would definitely consider staying there again if we ever came back to that area and would recommend it to others.

Moab Ranch
Great secluded place just outside of Moab. I would use again if I ever venture out that way. Only negatives were no TV, which isn’t bad for everyone, just be aware. Beds are really uncomfortable.. all of them. And shared sauna was out of order. Aside from that, everything else was good. Very cool stove fire and plenty of wood. Kitchen had everything.

The property was great and was perfect for seeing stars at night. The down side: the best are extremely firm and the house does not have a TV which was a little difficult to entertain the kids at night. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to others.

Peaceful get away
The location is the best part of this stay! About 20 minutes from Moab and super quiet. We had an issue with the back door not working, so we emailed the management company and they sent someone out to fix it right away. Other than the beds being a little firmer that what we’re used to, this cabin was a great find for the price.

Quaint little cabin on a beautifully kept property. Great for unplugging for the weekend. We had the shared pool snd hot tub to ourselves and its surreal being in a pool in the desert surrounded by trees. Will be coming back again. No cell service and spotty internet though. 15 minute drive to moab.

Good trip for the money but cabin needs some improvements to make it worth the prime time rates
The location was great and for a group of guys ATV in and on the best trails in the world it was fun and a fine place to stay. But if I were taking the wife and the rest of the family there I would be concerned about a few issues one of those would be the smell every time you use the dishwasher as well as no blinds in the master bedroom and a tree hanging over the top of the two master bedrooms that was so rotten and low that it literally brush the top of the rough part of the tree fell on age shed just to the west of us. I thought it was also odd that they provided a fireplace but no firewood until we asked and got some the last two days if the stay. It was an affordable trip for five adults and one child, but the conditions of the cabin would not warrant prime time price of $350 a night, the $159 A night we paid for the off-season was fair. Moab is beautiful and more trails that you’ll ever be able to take, it is the best writing in North America and I’m sure a top five in the world take your razor quad or jeep and have a blast!! looking forward to your return trip....!
