Escape to the beautiful Catalan countryside. This restored Catalan farmhouse is divided into four spacious holiday apartments, perfect for active families and groups looking to explore the stunning Garrotxa National Park. Enjoy all the highlights of the region within a half-hour drive or explore the many hiking trails that start right at your doorstep. Relax by the pool or fire up the barbecue for an outdoor dinner.

*** ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION ***

Can Blanc de Montagut is nestled in a quiet valley, along the Fluvià River. The house is only 1.5 km from the A26 between Olot and Besalú. Within a 30-minute drive, you can reach almost all the attractions in the region.

This rustic farmhouse features a spacious kitchen with views over the fields and hills, equipped with a dishwasher, large refrigerator and freezer, electric hob, oven, dishes, pans, cutlery, and a washing machine. The dining room is adjacent to the kitchen and has a large dining table for 10 people, perfect for enjoying a meal together. The dining room is also a delightful place to play games in the evening by the fire of the large wood stove or read a book on the sofa.

There are three comfortable bedrooms, each equipped with a very comfortable 180x200cm bed, including a master bedroom with a sitting area and a large wardrobe. There is a spacious bathroom with a bathtub, toilet, bidet, and a changing table for guests with babies.

In front of the house, there is a private garden and terrace where you can enjoy peace and space. On the other side of the house, there is another terrace with a large dining table and garden chairs for extensive dining. Next to the house is a shared barbecue area that includes a covered outdoor kitchen with a BBQ grill and two sinks. There is also a shared garden with a pool, surrounded by loungers and perfect for cooling off on hot days. The pool is maintained twice a week by a professional pool maintenance company. The house has (free) private parking next to it.

Can Blanc Baix is hidden in a quiet valley, along the Fluvià River. The house is only 1.5 km from the A26 between Olot and Besalú. Can Blanc de Montagut is located in the neighborhood 'Els Angles.' This is a tranquil valley with fields, a few houses, and a farm at the foot of the well-known village 'Castellfollit de la Roca.' The valley is shaped by the Fluvià River flowing through it. From the house, there are several short and long hiking trails along the Fluvia, over the mountains, and to Castellfollit de la Roca, which is just a 40-minute walk from Can Blanc de Montagut.

We know that many of our guests are concerned about animal welfare. We wanted to share that the neighboring farm of Can Blanc, owned by the Batallé group, has been recognized as the best pig farm in Garrotxa. This award highlights their responsible management in biosecurity and animal welfare, as well as their commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and respect for their animals. They are dedicated to continuing to improve and set new standards in the industry, ensuring the well-being and care of the animals at every stage of their lives.

The area is known for its beautiful hiking and cycling routes, ancient villages, and delicious cuisine. Due to its good accessibility, Can Blanc is an ideal base to explore the area.

- Castellfollit de la roca (7 minutes drive or 40 minutes walk) - Impressive mountain village built on the edge of a 50-meter-high basalt cliff.
- Pont de Llierca (11 minutes drive) - Medieval footbridge over the Llierca River where you can swim.

- Sadernes (15 minutes drive) - The starting point for our favorite hike to St. Aniol d'Aguja. A breathtaking walk along crystal-clear rivers and swimming spots.

Nice stay except for the pig farm
Nice place. Modern and quality equipment at disposal. Brand new swimming pool. Only issue is the presence of a pig farm not far from the facility. It attracts a lot of flies but the real issue is the noise coming from the heating extractor and the scream of the pigs even at night. Ideally located to visit the garotxa.
