A Taste of Elegant Old Montauk
Charming and historic hotel in Montauk. Drive on up or take a taxi from the train station as there are no real sidewalks in this area. The building is beautiful and in great condition thanks to years of care and maintenance. My ground-floor suite came with a kitchenette, living room, and private patio, though I did not make use of the patio as it was 20° in December when I visited. I recommend paying a visit to Monte’s, the hotel restaurant, which appears to be popular among locals and outside visitors alike. I was glad to use the express checkout in order to make an early departure. Overall I found the staff and management to be highly responsive and considerate and I enjoyed my stay here.

Charming stay amazing staff but needs renovating
The staff are wonderful and the ability to take movies and board games to your rooms is a fun and charming idea. Initial check in we are placed in a room that did not feel clean or updated and there was a dog barking non stop for almost 20 minutes. We decided to ask for a room change and they upgraded us for the inconvenience. The new room we were placed in was much nicer but still some cleanliness issues. Large rust stains under the fridge and mildew forming on the drop ceiling tiles in the bathroom. Overall the room was very cozy and felt homey.

À beautiful property but definitely showing signs of its age. Staff are lovely and the Shuttle Bus into town is very convenient. Room was clean and well maintained. Water pressure when I showered was great. Kitchen is well equipped. I did not eat at the restaurant on the premises but it seemed to be popular. I loved the fireplace in the Lobby with the comfy couches around it.
