A nice family owns this business. Breakfast good. Very hospitable. In the country setting, but not too far from Montefalco historical area. We recommend this place and would stay again. Need a car to enjoy the area.
This is a wonderful place to stay. They can accommodate larger parties or just a party of 2. The hosts Lori and Emanuele are gracious and helpful. We also fell in love with the resident dog Molly. Beautiful, clean and so very peaceful. We loved our 4 day stay here.
Our hosts Emanuele and Lori were so helpful and sweet.
There was a bit of a mix up with Expedia confirming our reservation with Il Borghetto, so when we arrived, they were not expecting us and they were already totally booked. Emanuele was so kind to find us similar lodging for 2 nights, very nearby and he had us as his guests for dinner that evening to make up for Expedia mistake.
We did stay 3 nights at Il Borghetto and is was very nice, comfortable bed, nice rooms and most delicious dinners.
Emanuele was very helpful with suggestions on places to visit nearby. If you’re looking for an agritourism experience, I would highly recommend Il Borghetto. They treat you like family!
Be prepared to pay your bill at the end of your stay at this stay instead of it being handled by hotels.com. We were a little disappointed to find out the restaurant at the site was closed and had to travel by car to get dinner and wait until serving time at 7pm. Traveling back in the dark to this location wasn’t the easiest for us. We accidentally booked for 1person which we were made aware of at the start but not told that we would be charged more money than the reservation booked at $71 and bumped to $97. Nice spot but especially but was hoping for a more rural location and not have other homes next to us. If we rent a car in the future I will inquire further about the location and the ability to eat on site when renting a car during our vacation in February. Breakfast was lovely and the room was nice. I was surprised to not have a better shower facility then a small wooden platform surrounded by a shower curtain.
My wife and two adult daughters consider this trip to Italy the best we have taken. A big part of the success of this vacation was the decision to stay the entire nine days at Agriturismo Il Borghetto. The attention to detail was excellent - from cleanliness to decor to service. We felt like we were staying with extended family. Alba greeted us warmly every morning we an incredible breakfast. We fell in love with her. Paulo radiates warmth and is someone who has the type of personality that brings people together. He arranged for us to visit a local olive oil processing facility and even escorted us to the location. Emmanuel took time with us and told us some of the history of the place and made the process of booking and getting settled in seamless. Honestly, it would be difficult to capture in this review how our fondest memories of our trip revolved around these people and their home. I do the trip planning for our family. Sometimes I get it right, sometimes I get it wrong. The decision to stay here should make up for most of my past mistakes. Stay here.
We were so sad to only stay one night here but we will definitely back after benefitting so much from Paolo's hospitality. We were the only guests the night that we stayed and truly felt well taken care of. We were treated with wine and home baked cookies and then placed in our comfortable room which even had great air conditioning (something we didn't expect when we saw the place). Paolo's wife made us an incredible breakfast that left us completely stuffed and we were so sad to leave. We will definitely be recommended this place to our friends and family who visit Italy and would love to one day return!
We stayed 3 nights during May 2014. The location was perfect for a 4 days tour in Umbria. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The place belongs to a great family with a great smile and heart. We felt like we are part of their family.
Splendido posto. Splendide persone che lo gestiscono. Ottima colazione. Ottima cena. Pulizia, cortesia e clima familiare. Da tornarci. Vivamente consigliato
