Magical Experience
If you want to see the bioluminescent lagoon, this is the place to stay. At first I thought the price seemed high but then I found out that it included a complimentary night time boat tour for both my husband and myself (allowing us to swim in the glowing water) AND a free made to order traditional breakfast. The room was very clean and the staff could not have been more welcoming. We stayed for 1 night on our travels and it was perfect for that. Swimming in the lagoon is something words cannot describe - it’s truly magical. Staff on the boat also took many pictures of us glowing in the water and we purchased for $25. They were sent right to our phones so we could have, post, and share them with family back home. Don’t miss this opportunity!

Do NOT go here. Absolutely NOTHING to do here. The room was dirty, dead bugs on the floor, no toilet paper, towels or wash clothes or soap in the room. Tv kept shutting off by itself, had to keep calling the front desk. Two layers of dirt, mosquito larvae and bugs in the pool, absolutely not clean at all. So called 'gift shop' was closed, looked like a closet with no more than maybe 20-25 individual items. Air quality was very bad and smelt like a seapage pit swamp. No beach access, water was disgusting and I wouldn't even go in it, not to mention, even if I wanted to, there was no access. Because of the literal swamp behind the building, there were mosquitoes EVERYWHERE!!!!! Not close to anything, you'll need a taxi. Only one restaurant with a bar. Pricey food and drinks, not worth it. The only thing that looked nice was the entrance to the building and the chairs in the small little restaurant. They were clear like Cinderellas glass slippers, but made out of plastic. This is NOT all inclusive as I was informed. We stayed 2 hours, the amount of time it took for us to find another hotel. Oh, and not another hotel guest in sight.

THe hotel was just OK
There are only 2 types of rooms. Neither of which has a good view of the water. The cheaper room is bigger and really, nicer. Water pressure is very low and controlling the hot and cold water was near impossible. To rinse your hair in the shower, you will need to fill up some cups of water. The location is perfect for experiencing the Glistening Waters and is also walking distance to a gas station/convenience store. Food at the restaurant was pretty good. It was clean and the front desk was nice.

This is a really convenient place to stay if you're going to do the Luminous Lagoon tour (which is truly magical). And it's nice that breakfast is included in their on-site restaurant, with lots of choices, given that you're not easy walking distance from any other sources of food. The staff were friendly and helpful and arranged great airport transport for us on the morning of our departure. The room itself was very basic but clean and perfectly functional. If you're not looking for American-style fancy luxury but just want a relatively comfortable and quiet place to sleep, this is a good choice.

Nice hotel to see the glistening water
We didn't realize it was so far from Montego Bay. We needed to pay a lot for the driving.

Montego Bay Hotel
They have a shuttle bus that doesn't shuttle. (Goes nowhere, staff can't explain.) They have a restaurant with an extensive menu -- except the many things they are out of. Service is slow -- even getting coffee takes patience; apparently they make it one cup at a time. There is no chair in the room -- no place to sit down.

The stay was great!! But the rooms were very over priced. There is nothing to do at the hotel except for the glistening water tour. Which lasts around 30 min. We were hoping for a beach nearby, but there is nothing around. It is a much better option to stay in Montego Bay, which is only 30 min away

Soulless, but don't miss glistening waters
New, modern, clean but absolutely soulless. Nothing nearby except the glistening waters boat trips and (deserted) restaurant. I think we were the only one staying too. Despite that the amazingness of the magical glowing water was one of the highlights of our trip, but I would stay elsewhere and drive in unless you really need to be close.

small new hotel at unique location at lagoon
We missed a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale and caught up to the boat at Falmouth, Jamaica. We chose this hotel because it was affordable and very close to the Falmouth port. The location is only about 5-10 minutes from Falmouth port but was unique because it is situated at the Luminous lagoon. It has bioluminescent dinoflagellates which release a glow when irritated and they have boat tours at night for 50% off the $25 price if you stay at Glistening waters. The rooms aren't too big and have individual A/C units which worked well when we went but the room had not been cooled before our arrival. The A/C units worked well though and it didn't take long to cool the room to a comfortable temperature. The showers did take a few minutes to heat up and the WIFI was spotty in our room but other guests reported no issues with their connection. The restaurant had decent food but the lobster dish was very disappointing for $35 dollars. Sunrise and sunset are pretty over the lagoon and the staff were very willing to accommodate us. There is a free shuttle to nearby Burwood public beach but it is a small beach and probably not as nice as other resort beaches. The free shuttle service was nice but seems to not have been used that much.
